This book was so sweet.  You can't choose who you love, nor can you choose how fast you fall in love with them.  This is what happened in this book and it was so beautiful. Kyle Houseman, man, does he have it rough.  The love of his life is married to his step-brother and worst of all, he has the ex-wife from hell. I could not believe the nerve of this woman.  The way she twisted everything was alarming to read.  She always made Kyle out to be the bad guy and he never really did anything to set people straight. So guess what, she gets away with all her trouble making and bad mouthing. This book was a breath of fresh air from all the other romance books that seem to be getting a little dirtier as time moves on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, I still enjoy those type of books.  But sometimes, a girl needs a break. This book was not what I was expecting. I thought that this was a novella and I prepared myself for that, but it was longer than I expected and spicy.  It does not have erotica in the genre, but it should, it really should. This book was not what I was expecting.  It was totally different from what I speculated and I have to say, the cover of a book has let me down once again. A certain over used quote comes to mind. Abby Kerr is the chieftess of Clan Kerr.  Yes you heard me right, she, as in a woman, is the chieftess of her clan, when she unexpectedly got the title by default. It may sound good in theory but unfortunately it was not.  The men were not accustom to listening to a woman, much less to actually take orders from her.  As you can guess, she does not have the full support of her people. It feels so wrong reading this book before even reading Chloe and Sawyer's story.  But first come first serve ( most of the time anyway ). Wild child Chloe Thompson cannot believe how her life has turned out and she has the stomach to prove it.  Having a bun in the oven is making Chloe more cranky than usual.   She takes most of her frustration out on her sexy ( but not as sexy as Ford ) husband  Sawyer, which may or may not have put a strain on their relationship.  Hating that Sawyer is constantly put in danger because of his job, since he has taken on more work recently.  Chloe wonders if Sawyer really has to go on these missions or if he does it just to get away from her. Feeling terrified and alone in a room filled of people who love her, all Chloe wants for Christmas is the reassurance that Sawyer loves her, and of course, Sawyer himself. But going a week without her husband is driving her mad, especially since she is close to her due date...

This book got me so angry.  This girl was not serious.  She did not deserve him and I wished he realized that he was better off without her and move on. Amanda St. Clair had a "What happens in Vegas" moment when she married the rich playboy, Blake Worthington, whom she loathed for the past four years.  Having the worst hangover of her life was not helping matters and all Amanda wanted was out of this so call marriage. With a promise to have the marriage annulled from her "husband", Amanda returns home, praying for this to end with no-one finding out about her stupid mistake. Two wonderful stories about family, love and determination.  I loved all the characters in this book and the stories just got better with each new story.  BONUS!  There are two short stories for your enjoyment at the end of the book! Simply Irresistible Maddie is having a not so good life right now.  She has just broken up from a bad relationship, lost her job and is close to being penniless.  Not wanting to lose faith, Maddie puts on a brave face and drives to Lucky Harbor where her mother left her and her two sisters an Inn. Feeling good about herself, things came crashing down when she ran someone off the road for one.  The other is that when she arrived at the Inn, it was to discover that it was nothing more than a ramshackle building in need of being torn down. Her sisters decided to sell, but knowing that this is her only shot, Maddie convinces them to take a chance on her. Would she fail them and herself, or would Maddie find everything...

The best love stories happen around Christmas and this is just one of the many.  The characters in this book will just grasp your heart and not let go. Bailey Voss has got it bad.  Bailey is crushing on an ex-football player named Kenny Scoot,  but she knows that he is out of her league.  Kenny only dates super thin, well endowed women, that are mostly models and actors.  Bailey knows that she does not stand a chance at catching Kenny's attention, seeing as how she is a single mom and battling to lose that extra twenty pounds, but hey, a girl can day dream.   Things change when the mayor of Fool's Gold roped Kenny and Bailey to "volunteer" to run a toy drive. I did not really feel for this book.  I especially did not like the heroine in it too, she was to full of herself in an awkward way.  She thought about herself way to much for my liking. DECEMBER BRIDE In a December Bride, Alright, I read this part of the series after A February Bride and it was okay, I enjoyed a February Bride better but this was good in it's own way. Well this book was a surprise to me.  Usually when two people hurt each other in this way, I don't like them but Alyssa and Brendan got me good.  I felt more for Brendan than Alyssa and here is why.
