FIND MY WAY HOME by Michele Summers

What do you get when you combine Betty Boop and Daffy Duck?  Unexpectedly you get the fourth of July.  Well with all the fire-works going off, I thought it was the fourth of July.  Michele Summers wrote an amazing story that had me a little disappointed at the end.  Read on to find out why. Bertie Anderson is an interior decorator with her own business who has the determination to get out of her home town. Even if that means quitting her business and accepting a lowly position at a firm in the city of Atlanta, the design capital of the South. Everything was going as plan until Keith Morgan walked into her life. He's talented, handy and hot as fire and Bertie thought he was gay and made the mistake of telling him that.  Let's just say that Keith did not take kindly to being called gay, especially not from the ridiculously well shapely Bertie Anderson. Keith Morgan went to see a man named Bert, that his aunt recommended, to redecorate his new home. ...

NEED YOU FOR KEEPS by Marina Adair

This book reminded me of +Rachel Lacey 's  book series Love and Rescue.  I instantly related to the book because of this, but the book is loveable by itself. Shay Michaels would do anything to save the furry residents of St. Helena, Califonia. Being a pet groomer in the town, as well as a pet rescuer, Shay hands her hands full 24'7. Even when she is filled to capacity, if anyone comes to her with an animal in need of a home, Shay can never turn them away. Even though, she gets into a lot of trouble for her selfless deeds. One of the people she has to deal with on almost a daily basis is Deputy Jonah Baudouin.  Shay finds him hot and hard to resist but resist him she must. Shay knows Jonah is not looking for a woman like her, and since he is running for Sherriff, he does not need her running his name in the mud. Jonah knows that he should stay away from Shay, but there is something about her that just draws him to her.  It does not help matters that...

DARE ME by Kelly Jamieson

Well this book was different!  I liked it, it was hot and spicy and l loved the scene when he rammed her against the wall and.......( clears throat ) moving on to my review. Micki Arnott, an interior designer, was very excited. Her boyfriend for over a year is finally going to pop the question.  At least she hopes he is.  Buzzing with anticipation, Micki was excited the entire day and could not wait for later that night. Dressing her best, wanting to look good for her boyfriend Garret, and even though he has not said that he loved her, she knows he does, just by the simple things he does for her.   When they were seated at the restaurant, and Garret said he had something important to tell her. Instead of the diamond ring she was expected; she got a contract instead? Garret Caulfield wants Micki to move in with him, to commit to him and no one else.  Knowing the disaster that love and marriage can bring, he wants none of that after seeing his parents h...

FOR KEEPS by Rachel Lacey

I love books that contain children and animals and this book was really promising since it contained both.  I have not heard about  +Rachel Lacey  but I'm glad I found her.  This was a great book. Merry Atwater ( weird name ) is in trouble.  She's bankrupt, well her dog rescue is bankrupt and she, nearly so.  In need of a miracle, but what she got instead is another dog to take care of. TJ Jameson needs a dog handler for his Children's Camp.  TJ hates dogs but knows that having a dog at the camp would be a way to get through to his artistic nephew. He needs a tame, well trained dog for this job and Merry is just the person he needs, except for one thing, she wants him to foster one of her dogs. Merry knew this job was a God send and did not want to screw it up.  It's just that when she saw the ranch and all the big open spaces, she knew that TJ's ranch would be a perfect place for her dogs to stay until she can find a fixed home for them....

BLOOD WOLF DAWNING by Rhyannon Byrd

There's just something about ware wolfs that's just hot.  And no, I am not thinking about Twilight ware wolfs, even though they were fun.  I'm taking about the possessive, your MINE kind of ware wolf that makes you mad but also can't help but crave them at the same time.  ( SIGH ) Finding your life-mate is suppose to be the best feeling in the world.  You find the person who was made just for you and you live happily ever after.   This is not the case for Sayre Murphy, her life mate wants absolutely nothing to do with her.  If having her life mate not claim her was painful enough, watching him give away what is rightfully hers to multiple woman was cutting her to threads.  Having enough of the pain and humiliation, Sayre takes a stand and makes an ultimatum. Instead of the results she craved, she lost everything, including her humanity.  Cain Hennessey has a deep dark secret that he wants to keep from everyone.  Finding his life m...

THE SHOCKING SECRET OF A GUEST AT THE WEDDING by Victoria Alexander

This book title is such a mouthful to say, but oh what fun it is as well.  I was intrigued just by the title of the story and the story itself had me hooked. Imagine living the first 30 years of your life thinking that your father is dead only to have him show up and put your mother in the most awkward of places. It seems that is what happens to Jackson Quincy Graham Channing, Vice President of a prestigious banking facility in New York, and his father.  His mother thought that it was not fit to tell him about his father but she also failed to inform his father that he also has a son, dun, dun ,dun. Feeling betrayed and highly upset, Jackson did something that he has never done in his entire life, made a rash decision and decided to accompany his father to his home in London to meet the rest of the family. Learning that one day he would inherit both a title and a grand estate, it seems his life is getting better and better, but Jackson does not feel that way.  ...

LAST OF THE RED HOT COWBOYS by Tina Leonard

The last of the Red Hot Cowboys is a steamy, hot, romantic comedy that was is suppose to have you panting and craving for more, key word, suppose!  I was totally disappointed, let me tell you why. Ava Buchanan dreams of having a career in the rodeo circuit. She's a fabulous horse rider and believes that a woman can do anything a man can do, only better.  She agreed to be a part of a team that the major of Hell (yes that is the correct name for the town) , Judy, has decided to create to put Hell on the map. It sounded like a good idea at the time the only thing that put wrench in their plans was the people Mayor Judy had in mind to train her girls. A group of Red-Hot Cowboys (get it!) . And the worse of them all is Trace Carter. Trace Carter has seen the mayor come up with scheme after scheme and some of them become successful, but this has got to be the worst idea the mayor has ever come up with. Trace decided to tell the Judy exactly what he thin...

THEN CAME YOU by Jill Shalvis

I love +Jill Shalvis, she writes such interesting and exciting stories that has me enthralled from the first page.  I have to say I was a bit bummed (like totally pissed) when I no longer received invites to review her Lucky Harbor series, but no worries (yes worries) I'm okay with that.  "Then came you" is part of the Animal Magnetism Series, and it's the fifth book in the series. I found the perfect man, by my standards anyway, in this book and I wanted to hit Emily when she didn't understand that. Emily Stevens is a woman with a plan, which includes doing her internship at the Los Angeles clinic liked she planned, and not at a small animal clinic in Sunshine, Idaho.  Saying to herself that this is a side road from her plan, she sets into her calendar the amount of days she has until she has obligated her vet school scholarship and get back to her "real life". On her first day, she realized that it was not going to be as easy as she thought.  ...

THE SECRET by Julie Garwood

I decided to read all the Julie Garwood books that I have one after the other. I just randomly choose one from my collection and read it, and I am having so much fun.  The secret is is my latest find and I enjoyed it immensely. Growing up with nothing but lies and deceit made Judith Hampton vow never to return to her cripple, abusive uncle and her cold, unfeeling mother when she returns from the Highlands from helping deliver her best friends' baby. Ian Maclean has recently become Laird and already had to go up against the elders in order to help his brother fulfill a promise he made to his wife. His promise was to allow an English woman to stay with them for the remainder of his wife's pregnancy. Since Patrick (Ian's brother) could not make the journey due to his wife being close to her delivery date, Ian took on the task of escorting the English woman to his home, even if it is by force. When Ian arrived in England his first impression of Judith was that she wa...

A ROGUE'S PLEASURE by Hope Tarr

I got this book in a second hand store for ten dollars and I thought that this book would have been alright, but not to good.  The book is battered and has that old book smell and it took me a while to actually pick up the book and read it and I'm glad I did because I have read this book five times and I am going for my sixth. Chelsea Bellamy is sent into further disarray when she receives a ransom note for five hundred pounds for the release of her brother.  After losing her father and her mother, Robert, her brother, is the only family she has left. He the daughter of a squire and Robert taking the last of their coin to join the regiment, Chelsea has no money left, much less five hundred pounds. In desperate need of the money, Chelsea decided to ask a neighbor of her's for the money but his terms for the repayment was much to high and vulgar to her and she refused his help, as she very well should have, sick pervert. Still in need of the money Chelsea decided to tur...

CASTLES by Julie Garwood

Looking through my book collection, I found this way in the back and I realized that this was one of my first books that I received from my mother.  I immediately began to read it again yesterday and today I am finished, yes the book was just that good. Imagine being a princess, I know, many women when they were girls imagined that they were, but Alesandra is no fairy tale princess, she is a real princess from the home country of her father but the author did not happen to name the name of the country that she was from, or maybe I just missed it. Alesandra, having been orphaned at a young age and having to live in a convent, has thought her how to be humble and to not take anything for granted.  However her life was put in an uproar when she was ordered to return to her fathers homeland when a turmoil began in the land. Wanting to escape her deary future she must quickly marry, as woman have too apparently, and she only has three weeks to do so.  So leaving the c...

This is not the final book of the series, but this is the last book that I have of the series on my bookshelf.  I keep going to the bookstore, but they do not have any copies of the last book and the store I bought all the other copies moved and did not tell me where. Hugh MacLean wanting to protect his brother from falling into the hands of who he "Hugh" thinks has evil intentions for his oldest brother Alexander;has set a trap for the unlucky lady who dared to mess with his family.  Unfortunately in setting out to prove that he was right, he caught someone else instead and did not realise until it was too late the error of his way. Catriona Hurst, having heard about the ridiculous scheme that her twin sister has cooked up this time, rushed to London in other to stop her sister from making one of the biggest mistake of her life.  Catriona had set out to save her sister from a trap of her own making but instead have been captured instead. ONE PRAYER AWAY by Kendra Norman-Bellamy

Mitchell Andrews made a bad mistake. His failure to cope made it worse. He turned to alcohol, and his angry outbursts drove his wife away--but it drove him to find Christ, sobriety, and newfound hope.  He attempts to win back the love of his life, but the mistakes of his past threaten to undo his second chance. Will he come undone at his weakest moment, or will God give him the strength to endure? Simply put, this book is about forgiveness and acceptance. Seven years is a long time, people can either change or get worse in that frame of time. Virture and Mitchell used to be married, but because of a whole lot of ugly that happened, they split up.  Now seven years later they meet again.  the ugliness of the past reared it's ugly head and had Virture running from Mitchell once again. Mitchell has changed and wants his wife back, but is the past so painful that it is too hard for Virture to forget and also to forgive him? Me personally, I would forgive him, b...
