BEST OF MY LOVE by Susan Mallery

Where travel back to Fool's Gold once again, and this is one town I have not gotten enough of. This is an intriguing story about friendship and love.  Shelly Gilmore chose Aiden Mitchell to be her male friend for three months to get over her fear of men. After living with a father who was abusive towards her mother and herself, and seeing her mother stay and take the abuse has given Shelly a warped idea of what a relationship was supposed to be like. Aiden has given up women after having an altercation between himself and one of his past hookups.  Aiden was devastated that he could not remember the woman's name.  This had him evaluating how he sees women and to understand exactly when he became the one night hook up guy. This experiment that Shelly has come up with will help them both explore the opposite sex without the pressure of feelings or sex.  Aiden was quite happy to help Shelly since he would also be helping himself in the lon...

THRILL ME by Susan Mallery

If you loved Kiss Me, then you are going to enjoy this.  This story is about Zane's sister Maya and how she got her turn to find love, or in this case, re-find her love. Maya Farlow learned the value of depending on yourself to get things done right.  She learned this lesson the hard way. When things were going good, and she found herself falling for the local  bad boy, Del Mitchell, Maya ran. She did not run because she was afraid of him, she ran because she was afraid of how she felt and that if she settled, she might turn into her mother. Scared out of her mind, Maya said some things that she was not proud of to Del, broke his heart, and her's as well, packed up and moved out of Fool's Gold. Del, devastated by having his love thrown back into his face, packed up and moved out of town as well.  Not to follow Maya, but to follow his own dreams, whatever they may be.  Leaving his family and his responsibilities behind. Fast track to tens years later, ...

KISS ME by Susan Mallery

This is my favorite book in the Fool's Hold Series right now.  This was so sweet and sexy and I couldn't get enough. Phoebe Kitzke is the kindest person you will ever meet.  She would literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it more than she did. Too bad that same kind heart of hers is what made her get suspended from her job with no pay.  Determined that this was the last time that she would ever do a favor for someone, her best friend throws a wrench in her new resolutions and pleads for her to help her family ranch in Fool's Gold. Knowing that she cannot deny her friend anything, Phoebe agrees and find herself on an early flight to Fool's Gold where she gets her first sighting of the silent and sexy, Zane Nicholson.  Phoebe's heart kicked up a notch when she saw the sexy cowboy, too bad his face shows that he is not thrilled to have her there. All his life Zane always had to be in control.  He had to take control of hi...

MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS by Susan Mallery

This book was a breath of fresh air from all the other romance books that seem to be getting a little dirtier as time moves on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, I still enjoy those type of books.  But sometimes, a girl needs a break. Madeline Krug is the resident owner of Fool's Gold Bridal Boutique.  She has the magic touch of always finding the perfect dress for each of her brides.  Seeing the joy on their when they find the perfect dress, always fills Madeline with pride.  Knowing how good she is at her job, Major Marsha assigned Madeline with the task of planning a wedding for a special new resident. Excited about this new venture that was bestowed upon her, and really, who can say no to Mayor Marsha? Madeline accepts this task only to regret it soon after. In order to plan this wedding, Madeline has to work closely with the bride's brother, who is none other than Jonny Blaze. Jonny Blaze is a famous movies star that recently moved to ...

HOLD ME by Susan Mallery

Hold Me, what does this title say about this book?  I have no idea, I just saw that this book was written by  +Susan Mallery  and I requested it immediately and I was approved.  Here is what I learned about Hold Me and F.Y.I the title fits the story. Destiny Mills is always running away.  Except, she does not see it as running away, but as moving on. After growing up with parents who were always on the road, never settling for months on end, and never settling with only one partner, Destiny has learned to never give in to her emotions wholeheartedly. Having a job that makes her have to move from town to town, settle for a few months and move on is what Destiny thinks of as the perfect job.  It so happens that that is her actual job as well, It makes sure that she does not get too close to anyone and lessens her chances of being hurt. Her situation changes when she gets a temporary responsibility in the form of her half-sister, from one of her fathe...

YOURS FOR CHRISTMAS by Susan Mallery

The best love stories happen around Christmas and this is just one of the many.  The characters in this book will just grasp your heart and not let go. Bailey Voss has got it bad.  Bailey is crushing on an ex-football player named Kenny Scoot,  but she knows that he is out of her league.  Kenny only dates super thin, well endowed women, that are mostly models and actors.  Bailey knows that she does not stand a chance at catching Kenny's attention, seeing as how she is a single mom and battling to lose that extra twenty pounds, but hey, a girl can day dream.   Things change when the mayor of Fool's Gold roped Kenny and Bailey to "volunteer" to run a toy drive. Bailey got to see the sweet, generous and kind side of Kenny and that coupled with his ruggedly good looks, Bailey was falling and falling hard.  To bad Kenny already told her where they stand. Having gone through losing someone important to him, Kenny Scott has vowed to never again dat...

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Susan Mallery

First time reading a  +Susan Mallery  book and it was a good start, but it would have been great if I had started from the first book in the "Fool's Gold" series. This book have a type of go with it vibe that I am not used too and I cannot decide if I like it or not, yet.  I need more of  +Susan Mallery 's book to come to my own conclusion. Isabel Beebee (Yes that is her real name) has had the biggest blow to any woman's pride, ever, she turned her husband gay and he left her for another man, dun dun dun. Okay, so he was probably gay to begin with but that still does deplete a woman's sense of pride and him leaving her for a man hurt Isabel's pride so much that she moved back home to Fool's Gold to start over. Isabel wants to open a fashion store, but needs capital in order to start her business in New York so Isabel decided to run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it and then she would pack up and leave to pursue her ...
