Now this was at a disadvantage to me, since I did not read the first two books in the series, thank goodness it can read as a stand alone. Richard Craven had felt like his heart broke when the love of his life, was forced to marry a violent brute of an OLD man.  Unable to curb his desire for her, he was almost caught in an uncompromising position with said MARRIED lady, until someone intervened. So apparently I am completely leaving out the first book in the series and going on to the third one.  I have "The Trouble with Honor" Poster on my wall, but I do not have the pleasure of reading the actual book. Prudence Cabot is almost ready to be put on the shelf.  She has had a few seasons, but no one was even close to asking for her hand. I was so excited to receive this advance review copy of the Prince and I.  I'm seriously enjoying the Oxenburg Princes Series a whole lot and was very impatient to get this one, now that I've completed the book, I'm now impatient for the next one.  I blame  +Karen Hawkins  for getting me hooked on her writing. This is my first book by Ms +Julia London , and even though I have the poster of her first book in this series on my wall, I have never read it, (yet) .  I am very interested in knowing the rest of the Cabot Sisters. Grace Cabot is desperate.  Her step-father, the main support for her and her sisters have died and her step-brother is about to be married. That should be a good thing, but the woman he is about to marry, dislikes them and would put them out in the cold if she could.  The only way to get stability for her sisters and herself is to marry. I had a fun time reading this book.  It kind of reminded me of Rapunzel. Not the book but the make over that Disney did, minus the really long hair. Marlowe is one of the best pick pockets in the west end.  She is the only female among the gang of the Covent Garden Cubs, a gang of thieves living in the slums of London's Seven Dials. It's a hard life, one where she was to hide that she is a girl most of the time.  It was easier when she was a little girl, but now that she has turned into a young woman, it has become harder to hide her figure.  Men has began to see her beauty but Marlowe only saw her body as an inconvenience. Working for one of the most violent men in Slug Row named Satin ( clever isn't it ), Marlowe must bring back something every night or face the consequences. When the day is done, and Marlowe curls herself up in her corner on the cold, hard floor, she thinks of a day where she was not known as Marlowe, but as Elizabeth. Maxwell, ...

I was pulled in my the marvelous cover and was lulled into a false sense of security that this was going to be a great book.  Sadly, the only good thing about this book is the cover. Julian Fortescue is being haunted by his past. I was so excited to receive this book.  I read the first two books in the series, and I loved them and this book was no different. Being kidnapped and sold to harem is more than the high spirited and independent Lady Portia Flagstaff can take.  She loves excitement and danger but this, this was too much. This is an oldie but a goodie. It started out a little slow for me but when it picked up, I really enjoyed it.  Alec got schooled by Julia.  Here's what I mean. Alec McLean is desperate.  He must marry before his next birthday in order to claim his grandfather's wealth.  He promised his grandfather that he would keep the money away from his cousin, who wants nothing more that to do "mysterious" deeds with it. Unfortunately Alec waited too long to claim his bride and he only had a matter of hours to wed in order to claim the money.  He made arrangements with a woman to marry so that they can sprint of the Gretna Green, before it was too late. This is my second book of  +Eloisa James  and I now can confirm that she is an author  I would very much like to hear more from.  I loved this book, especially the heroine. Emilia Carrington, when she was a young girl, had the misfortune of learning that the boy she was in love with, was nothing more than an insensitive toad. Years later, after claiming that she would never marry him, even if he was the last man in England, she finds herself, asking him to marry her. This book was a big let down for me.  The title was promising, so was the cover.  Even the description of the book got to me and then when it got down to actually reading the book, I got a headache.  Here's why. Lady Georgiana was tricked out of her virginity.  Yes, it's the classic story of girl falls in love with boy, boy makes her many promises, girl gives up her cookies, boy says thanks and goes on his way. That was not the end of it.  Georgiana gets pregnant from that one time and she was shunned from the ton.  In her shame she fled, only to come back for whatever reason. I enjoyed this book very much.  There was a secret and I seriously had no clue as to what it was until it was actually revealed.  I felt such pain to be decieved, even though I'm not the one that was wronged. Sir Richard Kenworthy is in desperate need of a bride. Nobody fully knows why, but he just does.  For this to happen, he has to engage the most desperate of all the available ladies on the market.   His quest brings him to the Smythe-Smith family, where he met his diamond in the rough.  No, he did not fall in love, he just found the the most acceptable desperate lady, he needs.
