IT'S IN HIS KISS by Jill Shalvis

This is a book about escaping and finding your own voice. I liked this book, which is no surprise since I love all  +Jill Shalvis 's books. Becca Thrope has always wanted to live by the beach. After growing up in the hectic way she did, a beach is a welcome respite from her everyday life. Finally having enough, Becca uproots her life and throw caution to the wind and moves to Lucky Harbor temporarily, where she full fills her wish of living near a beach. She must now find her missing muse and prove to herself that she can make it on her own.  Things become tricky when she meets a sexy surfer on her first day in Lucky Harbor and the dark intensity in his eyes as if he can see right through her. His touch also makes her body sing and Becca is not sure she wants to pursue him or admire him from afar.  She should not have distractions from her goals, but it's okay to look, right? Sam Brody is an investment genius who also loves to build boats in his free time eve

THIS HEART OF MINE by Brenda Novak

This book is a thing of beauty.  I would not have thought to write a book like this. The emotion and the drama contained in the pages of this book, blew me away. Phoenix Fuller was the type of girl your parents told you to stay away from. She lived in a trailer park with a mother who scorns anyone.  Children were thought to stay away from her although she has not done anything to deserve their scorn. Having an obese mother who is also a hoarder, Phoenix did not grow up in a nice environment. When, for some strange reason, the handsome and popular Riley Stinson wanted to be her boyfriend, Phoenix was desperate not to lose him. When he suddenly broke up with her, Phoenix was in a panic.  To make matters worse, she found out that she was pregnant and was anxious to get Riley back. Yes she stalked him at school, yes she called him excessively on the phone and yes she still loved him but there was no way she drove over the current girl he was dating. Unfortunately, there was n

HIGHLAND GUARD by Hannah Howell

This book was a little disappointed and has no mystery to it.  I found out almost every secret of the book in the first three chapters. Can you believe that, a book with no mystery and EVERYTHING was easily resolved. Lady Annys Macqueen is in desperate need for some help. Her husband, the Laird of her lands, is now dead from a mysterious illness. Although she has a son to inherit the land, a kinsman from her husband's family wants to claim what is rightfully her son's, even if he has to take it by force. Scared for her people and her son, Lady Annys only has one person to turn too, the only man who set her body and her heart on fire and left her pregnant and heartbroken, Sir Harcourt Murray. After five long years, Sir Harcourt Murray is finally back to the place where he almost died, nursed back to health and left with a heavy heart. After repaying the death of saving his life with his seed, (giggle) Harcourt is once again needed to help.  On his first day back,

COLD FEET AT CHRISTMAS by Debbie Johnson

This book was not what I was expecting. I thought that this was a novella and I prepared myself for that, but it was longer than I expected and spicy.  It does not have erotica in the genre, but it should, it really should. WARNING: Rated R. Running out on your wedding shouldn't be this much fun. Leah Harvey is frozen and the car she took for her getaway has decided to shut down on her.  Things wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't in the middle of a snowstorm with nothing but her thin wedding dress. After witnessing her husband halfway up the bridesmaid’s skirt just hours before the ceremony, Leah ran from the wedding with nothing but the clothes on her back. Deciding that trying to get help was better than staying in the freezing car to die, Leah braced herself and took off into the direction of a light she saw in the distance.  Hoping that she can make it there before her limbs freeze off, Leah sets off with determination, even if the cabin might
