PICNICS IN HYDE PARK by Nikki Moore

Picnics in Hyde park was different.  I'm still undecided if it was a good different or a bad different. Zoe Harper returns to the UK after five longs years when she found her fiance in bed with another woman.  Outraged, Zoe packs all her stuff and was on the next flight home only to find out that her sister, was thrown out of her job and her boyfriend is not returning any of her calls. Mad as hell from her deception, Zoe's anger takes an all time high making her take action as soon as her plane landed. Instead of going home and consoling her sister, she marched straight over to her sister's former employer to give him a piece of her mind. Instead, what she finds is an over-stressed father, Matt Reilly, in need of a new nanny for his children. Jet lag and anger do not mix and Zoe finds herself being interviewed for a job as the new nanny instead. Matt Reilly has a lot going on.  He's a famous music producer who lets his children be raised by the nanny wi...

NOT MY BOYFRIEND by Monica L. Anderson

Not my boyfriend was the perfect title for this book. The emotional roller-coaster that resides in this book will bring you on an unbelievable journey of the heart.  And I really mean unbelievable. Max is stuck at a co-worker's retirement party and he has appointed himself the designated driver of the group since his colleagues are all well into their cups. Max sits at the bar in frustration since he has given up one night stands and right now he is in a six month dry spell looking for Mr. Right. But Mr. Right can wait when he sees intense brown eyes and a devilish smirk from across the room. When Mr. brown eyes comes over and offers him some hot gratification in the bathroom, Max just could not refuse. Karson is only looking for pleasure.  He gave the love thing a shot and when his no-good ex cheated on him, Karson closed himself off from love, refusing to be hurt again. He has rules to avoid the trap of love again that include never more than once and...

HELL by Elena M. Reyes

This book promised me a sexy, dirty and satisfying sexual relationship between two consenting adults. Instead what I got was a confusing jumble of words and barely there emotions. Let me show you what I mean. Joshua Timbers wants something new in his life after his father died. That's why he decided to leave the job and the home he had for many years and move to another city and start over. After losing his mother at a young age and seeing how it destroyed his father, the strongest man he knows, Joshua vows to never let a woman have that kind of control over him. But that does not stop him from curbing his enormous appitite for finding himself buried in the sweet heaven between a woman's legs. All that changes, when he walked into his new job sight and got a sight of a sexy lady bent over a desk, shaking her sexy behind to a tune he did not know. She gave him attitude and matched him word for word and when he decided to go in for the kill he found out that sh...

COLD FEET AT CHRISTMAS by Debbie Johnson

This book was not what I was expecting. I thought that this was a novella and I prepared myself for that, but it was longer than I expected and spicy.  It does not have erotica in the genre, but it should, it really should. WARNING: Rated R. Running out on your wedding shouldn't be this much fun. Leah Harvey is frozen and the car she took for her getaway has decided to shut down on her.  Things wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't in the middle of a snowstorm with nothing but her thin wedding dress. After witnessing her husband halfway up the bridesmaid’s skirt just hours before the ceremony, Leah ran from the wedding with nothing but the clothes on her back. Deciding that trying to get help was better than staying in the freezing car to die, Leah braced herself and took off into the direction of a light she saw in the distance.  Hoping that she can make it there before her limbs freeze off, Leah sets off with determination, even if the ...

THE PERFECT HOMECOMING by Julia London

WARNING! Do not read this book unless you have about five boxes of tissues by your side. Maybe I was hormonal when I was reading this book, or maybe I related to Emma, the main character, and her pain. I don't know, all I know is, I cried, A LOT. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK IF YOU DO NOT LIKE A GOOD CRY! Emma Tyler is a beautiful woman. With her long blonde hair and delicate features, she has every man in a five mile radius lusting after her. Even though she is beautiful on the outside, on the inside she has a train wreck of a life.  Emma can't seem to control her mouth in any situation.  She always says what she thinks; normally that may be a good thing, but people always seem to take what she says the wrong way. Because of how broken she is, Emma only targets older, fat men who only wants her for her body.  Feeling disgusted with herself after the deed is done, Emma takes something of each of her "conquest", something that the person would not miss that she k...

RING ON HER FINGER by Lisa Swinton

This book got me so angry.  This girl was not serious.  She did not deserve him and I wished he realized that he was better off without her and move on. Amanda St. Clair had a "What happens in Vegas" moment when she married the rich playboy, Blake Worthington, whom she loathed for the past four years.  Having the worst hangover of her life was not helping matters and all Amanda wanted was out of this so call marriage. With a promise to have the marriage annulled from her "husband", Amanda returns home, praying for this to end with no-one finding out about her stupid mistake. Her mistake was not so easily solved when Blake showed up on her doorstep, claiming that his parents cut him off and he has to pay for the annulment himself. Not wanting the spoiled rich kid to mingle with her family, but seeing as how she has no choice, she reluctantly allows Blake to stay. As the weeks went by and Blake did not go running back to his parents, Amanda sees a new sid...

HEAT by Jamie K. Schmidt

When your fiance is a drug addict and starts beating on you what do you do?  You stay and take the beating of course, since you're a doctor and believes that you can fix him.   When he forces drugs down your throat, do you knock him out and report his ass to the police, nooo.  You wait until he passes out, grab what you can and go into hiding. This seems to be the case for E.R (No not the tv show) Dr. Mallory Bryant. After hiding for two months and her finance completely depleted, Mallory has no other choice than to seek help from the black sheep of the family, her older sister Colleen.  Colleen owns a "special" business called Couture which has a sweet side and a wicked side.  Wanting to protect her little sister, Colleen enlisted the help of one of her employees to look after her. Max, liking the benefits of the job, excepts it and that is how to story of Max and Mallory began.  Because of the wicked side of Couture, Colleen has heavy securit...

EVENING STARS by Susan Mallery

I was not expecting all this angst in this book, but, it oddly intrigued me.  This book is for all the women who ever felt like that it is too late to  achieve your dreams. Well guess what, it's not and  +Susan Mallery  tells us a story about why that is! Nina Wentworth is a small town nurse who also has a life time job of being the responsible one.  Having to be a mom to her mother and to her sister, Nina was not able to be child, she always had to be the grown up around the house. Feeling trapped with no way out, her life becomes even more complicated when her high school sweetheart comes back to the island to stay. After breaking her heart all those years ago, Nina did not see Dylan again until he rescues her from having to walk home in the pouring rain. With Dylan being back on the island, it brought up memories and feelings that Nina would have liked to have kept hidden. To make matter even more confusing, on another rainy day, another man from her...

COMPLETE by Lindy Zart

Complete is the second and last book of Lindy Zart book "Incomplete" starring Greyson Lee and his best friend Lilly.  Except for this time we are reading from Lilly's point of view. When we last saw these two love birds, Lilly made the ultimate sacrifice so that Greyson can achieve his dream and she told him "I'll wait forever for you Greyson" and I believed her. I was so excited when I started to read Complete, thinking that it would have less angst than in the first book, but boy was I mistaken. Lilly have given up, all the spunk and fearlessness she once possess in the first book completely disappeared in this one and she has also lost my respect. I has been two years since Lilly split with Greyson and still she would not pick up the phone and call him, thinking to herself that he was over her, since he was dating multiply women, totally disregarding that he has a tattoo of a Lilly over his heart and her name tattooed on his knuckles. Lilly j...
