Swans Book Review

This book was so good and I loved it so much.  +Lisa Kleypas  never disappoints with any of her books. Devon Ravenel has just inherited an earldom and while most men would be thrilled for the title, Devon was not one of them. His cousin fell from his horse and broke his neck and now Devon is saddled with a title he does not want.  Along with three nieces and one widow.  Since the estate is entitled and totally run-down, Devon can't sell it and wash his hands of it once and for all, so he has to buckle down and bring the place back to the glory that it once was. Too bad he has his cousin's sharp tongue widow to deal with every step of the way. A widow who seems determined to act like the best grieving widow ever, considering she's only been married to his cousin for three weeks. Cold Hearted Rake had me enthralled from the first page. I love books that contain children and animals and this book was really promising since it contained both.  I have not heard about  +Rachel Lacey  but I'm glad I found her.  This was a great book. Merry Atwater ( weird name ) is in trouble.  She's bankrupt, well her dog rescue is bankrupt and she, nearly so.  In need of a miracle, but what she got instead is another dog to take care of. TJ Jameson needs a dog handler for his Children's Camp.  TJ hates dogs but knows that having a dog at the camp would be a way to get through to his artistic nephew. He needs a tame, well trained dog for this job and Merry is just the person he needs, except for one thing, she wants him to foster one of her dogs. Merry knew this job was a God send and did not want to screw it up.  It's just that when she saw the ranch and all the big open spaces, she knew that TJ's ranch would be a perfect place for her dogs to stay until she can find a fixed home for them....

This book was a little disturbing and awkward.  The main character felt like a loose cannon and I stopped feeling sorry for her, really fast.  Here's why. Nya Lowe has a terrible record of dating the worst guys that are out there.  Having enough of always attracting all the wrong men, Nya vowed to stop dating for a year to get out of her rut. A few months into her vow, and a situation ( which was pretty funny, if you ask me ) lead Nya into the arms of a smoking hot fireman, kissing him for all that it's worth. Tyler did not plan on having a beautiful woman practically fall into his lap and kiss the breathe out of him, but he can't complain. Who trumps whom, F.B.I or I.R.S?  If I have to go up against either of these two, I'd choose the F.B.I all the time.  Sweet talk was a fun, action packed book for the whole family, (18+ of course.) Olivia Mackenzie did not expect that when she went for an interview, that her dress would be torn by her potential new boss, that his meat head of a body guard would pull a gun on her and that she got into the middle of an F.B.I investigation.  I bet she wished she never left home. I was devastated by this book.  It had so much potential and had me all excited and then.........and then........... (starts crying) , I just can't say it yet, go on and read my review. I love +Jill Shalvis, she writes such interesting and exciting stories that has me enthralled from the first page.  I have to say I was a bit bummed (like totally pissed) when I no longer received invites to review her Lucky Harbor series, but no worries (yes worries) I'm okay with that.  "Then came you" is part of the Animal Magnetism Series, and it's the fifth book in the series. I found the perfect man, by my standards anyway, in this book and I wanted to hit Emily when she didn't understand that. Emily Stevens is a woman with a plan, which includes doing her internship at the Los Angeles clinic liked she planned, and not at a small animal clinic in Sunshine, Idaho.  Saying to herself that this is a side road from her plan, she sets into her calendar the amount of days she has until she has obligated her vet school scholarship and get back to her "real life". On her first day, she realized that it was not going to be as easy as she thought.  ...

The Scandalous Adventures of the Sister of the Bride is such a handful to say when people asked me what book was I reading, yet for some reason, very easy to remember; so bravo Miss Alexander for the clever title.  I love this book and was totally disappointed at the ending.  Let me tell you why. I got this book at a book swap and I reluctantly picked it up to read it, thinking that I would not enjoy the book.  Boy was I wrong, I have to stop passing judgement on books before I read them, otherwise I would miss out on a lot of good books. This is not the final book of the series, but this is the last book that I have of the series on my bookshelf.  I keep going to the bookstore, but they do not have any copies of the last book and the store I bought all the other copies moved and did not tell me where. This book come after "How to abduct a Highland Lord" which was awesome.  The good thing about this series is that you can read each book on it's own, BUT to enhance the reading experience, read all the books, in the correct order of course. Being friend since one has been five and another eight, means that you have a very good friendship, especially when you seek each other's company everyday.  You know all there secret and you theirs and you talk about each and everything that you can think of. Some years back I saw this in a store and was immediately interested in the the the of the story, when I read the description on the back I was hooked, and thus my first taste of Karen Hawkins was born. Fiona MacLean, wanting to stop her hotheaded brothers rom doing something foolish (like most brothers do) decided to sacrifice herself in order to end the feud between her family and the Kincaid's; and the only way that she thought of to stop the feud is to marry. Unfortunately, the groom did not come willingly, he was picked up after he fell from his horse and knocked unconscious.  He was woken up in a church where he was married in a drunken stupor. Jack Kincaid, where he is more infamously known as Black Jack Kincaid, did not have a care in the world.  He is the inheritor of a large fortune so he can do what he pleases, when he pleases; and he most definitely did not want to marry, ever.  This "union" was made even worse by the past these two shared, which...

In the description it sounded like this book was about war, but oddly enough it wasn't  They talked about a war but it didn't happen. Lots of plots to assassinate the King and his heir, which sis not succeed and treason and blah, blah, blahidy, blah. I do not really care about the political part of this book, just know everything came out okay, but I more cared about the love story where you can see from the book cover that the one of the main character is HOT.  He found his match with Miss Alana and they keep butting heads like a bunch of rams which of course have them getting together at the end, which is my kind of love story. The ending was anti-climactic with everything being resolved all peaceful like (which I hate by the way) and then to make matters worse they got all sappy on my, bleh but other than that I quite enjoyed the book even though I wanted to kill one or two of the characters.

What would you do if your wife went missing when her plane crashes somewhere in Africa? Do you sleep with her best friend, you know, the one who have been sleeping with for the past year behind your wife’s back or do you pick up with someone new? Answer all of the above. Whilst your emotions are moving like a roller coaster, your wife is lost in Africa without her memories who falls in love with a impossible but wonderful man. When her memories came back after a terrible incident and she is forced to go back home would these two people want to stay married or would they want to move on. Please, if I was her I was filing for divorce and staying in Africa with my Mandingo, but then again, I was able to evaluate the situation because I was able to read both sides of the story, all the information she had was that she was married to her husband for years and knew this man for some months.  If it was you, who would you choose?

I kept hearing about this Fifty Shades of Grey book and I was intrigued enough to beg someone to borrow their copy of the book (the library doesn’t have a copy).  When my sister brought the first book home and I was so excited everybody was looking at me weirdly at home (LOL), but at last the excitement died when I started to read it, I thought it was a rip off of the Twilight book and I wanted to chuck it in the corner and sulk but I pressed on and I am glad I did.  I was waiting for Christian to get all sparkerly in the sunlight and what I got instead was like WHOAH. This book is NOT your typical boy meets girl and falls in love, love story.  In my opinion Christian Grey had way more problems than what up-bringing suggested but hey, people develop differently from abusive background and I can’t judge and the good thing is, he got through all of his issues through the trilogy thanks to the help of Anastasia Steele.
