JUST ONE SPARK by Jenna Bayley-Burke

It took me a long time to read this book.  It took me a few months and I have now completed this book.  This is mostly in part because the book did not turn out the way I thought it would have and it bored me with its weirdness. Here is what I mean. Hannah Daniels does not find it weird to sit and read an erotic book whilst waiting for her clothes to wash in a public laundry-mart. Hannah was just getting to one of the good parts of her current book when a handsome stranger distracts her.  He was very handsome and she felt a connection the only thing that stopped her from liking him is the wedding ring on his finger. Disgusted by him, Hannah quickly leaves the Laundry hoping to never see the lying bastard again. Mason McNally cannot stop kicking himself for the major screw up with the girl of his dreams.  He was wearing a ring to help his brother with a study of his and she misunderstood. Needing to find her again, Mason looks high and low but cannot find ...

CUPCAKE AND CRUSHES by Keri Ford

This was such a sweet book.  This romance was cute and touching and it's only book one in the series.  I'm looking forward to the rest of the books in the series. Annie Cookie left her hometown and never looked back.  She did not want to stay in the that she was most betrayed in. Unfortunately for her, her grandfather broke his wrist and would not be able to do his job.  This would not have been all that bad except that his bakery would be at risk at losing two big orders. Annie is happy to help out her grandparents, especially since they took her in when no one else wanted her, but she just wish that she did not have to go back into the place where her heart was broken. With determination, Annie returns to Turtle Pine to help her grandfather but was in for a shock.  Not only was she expected to bake seven hundred cupcakes, she also has to bake a cake for her sister that stole her high school sweetheart. Not wanting anything to do with her half-siste...

THE DARING EXPLOITS OF A RUNAWAY HEIRESS by Victoria Alexander

This was a nice book, but it did not live up to my expectations.  The last two books in the series that I read which are The Scandalous Adventures of the Sister of the Bride (which was my first book ever by Victoria Alexander) and  The Shocking Secret of a Guest at the Wedding .  Those two books were amazing and this one left me wanting. Lucy Merryweather engagement has finally broken from her fiance of many years. They both knew, deep down, that they did not wish to marry each other and that they were just following their parents wishes. While her ex-fiance celebrates his freedom by going off on his own adventure, Lucy decides to go on one of her own. Armed with a list od adventures she inherited from her great-aunt as well as her fortune, Lucy has set out to finish what her great-aunt did not even got a chance to start.  She was able to accomplish a few things on the list until her guard dog was discovered. Thinking that her fun was about to be spoi...

THE GIRLS OF MISCHIEF BAY by Susan Mallery

Meet the Girls of Mischief Bay.  This book centers around the lives of three women, who happen to be friends and the problems that are facing them in this part of their lives. This book was boring until it wasn't.  Let me tell you what I mean. Nicole Lord wants to be a good wife, but there's a difference between being supportive and supporting her husband, who quit his job to write a screenplay she's never seen. He won't even help take care of their son, leaving Nicole to run the house and work full-time at her Mischief Bay Pilates studio. Can she say enough is enough without losing the man she loves? Sacrificing a personal life for her career is how Shannon Rigg rose to become vice president in her firm, but she wonders now whether she made the right choice. An exciting new relationship with a great guy convinces her that it might not be too late—until he drops a bombshell that has her questioning whether she can have it all. And if she can, does she want it?...

DARE ME by Kelly Jamieson

Well this book was different!  I liked it, it was hot and spicy and l loved the scene when he rammed her against the wall and.......( clears throat ) moving on to my review. Micki Arnott, an interior designer, was very excited. Her boyfriend for over a year is finally going to pop the question.  At least she hopes he is.  Buzzing with anticipation, Micki was excited the entire day and could not wait for later that night. Dressing her best, wanting to look good for her boyfriend Garret, and even though he has not said that he loved her, she knows he does, just by the simple things he does for her.   When they were seated at the restaurant, and Garret said he had something important to tell her. Instead of the diamond ring she was expected; she got a contract instead? Garret Caulfield wants Micki to move in with him, to commit to him and no one else.  Knowing the disaster that love and marriage can bring, he wants none of that after seeing his parents h...

FLAMES OF PASSION by Kayla Perrin

This book was a little disturbing and awkward.  The main character felt like a loose cannon and I stopped feeling sorry for her, really fast.  Here's why. Nya Lowe has a terrible record of dating the worst guys that are out there.  Having enough of always attracting all the wrong men, Nya vowed to stop dating for a year to get out of her rut. A few months into her vow, and a situation ( which was pretty funny, if you ask me ) lead Nya into the arms of a smoking hot fireman, kissing him for all that it's worth. Tyler did not plan on having a beautiful woman practically fall into his lap and kiss the breathe out of him, but he can't complain. Finding out the reason for the impulsive kiss gave him the opening he needed to further know the lady.  All Tyler wants to do is get know Nya but all Nya does is push him away.  Would Tyler be able to get around Nya's walls? or would Nya stay true and stick to her vow?   +Kayla Perrin  wrote one of th...

RING ON HER FINGER by Lisa Swinton

This book got me so angry.  This girl was not serious.  She did not deserve him and I wished he realized that he was better off without her and move on. Amanda St. Clair had a "What happens in Vegas" moment when she married the rich playboy, Blake Worthington, whom she loathed for the past four years.  Having the worst hangover of her life was not helping matters and all Amanda wanted was out of this so call marriage. With a promise to have the marriage annulled from her "husband", Amanda returns home, praying for this to end with no-one finding out about her stupid mistake. Her mistake was not so easily solved when Blake showed up on her doorstep, claiming that his parents cut him off and he has to pay for the annulment himself. Not wanting the spoiled rich kid to mingle with her family, but seeing as how she has no choice, she reluctantly allows Blake to stay. As the weeks went by and Blake did not go running back to his parents, Amanda sees a new sid...

ROOMIES by Lindy Zart

I am a Zartian, hear me roar ( more like write a review ).  Earlier on my blog I posted about Roomies, which is a story about how a complected girl was in love with her roommate.  Things get iffy when his brother comes into the picture and a whole load of goodies took place.  Here's what happen. Kennedy Somers is one weird girl.  Yes you heard me, Kennedy is a she.  Blame her father for wanting a boy.  Kennedy is in love with her roommate Graham Malone and it hurts to be near him.  It also hurts to be away from him, so what did she do, she chose to stay near him. Kennedy thinks the world of Graham.  He makes her smile, laugh and accepts her for who she is, a crazy girl who is brutally honest.  Kennedy wants nothing more than to tell Graham how she feels, but fear stops her every time. Graham is to perfect, to hot, to mesmerizing to ever fall in love with a girl like her.  ( Well that's her thoughts anyway ) and Kennedy decides t...

BLOOD WOLF DAWNING by Rhyannon Byrd

There's just something about ware wolfs that's just hot.  And no, I am not thinking about Twilight ware wolfs, even though they were fun.  I'm taking about the possessive, your MINE kind of ware wolf that makes you mad but also can't help but crave them at the same time.  ( SIGH ) Finding your life-mate is suppose to be the best feeling in the world.  You find the person who was made just for you and you live happily ever after.   This is not the case for Sayre Murphy, her life mate wants absolutely nothing to do with her.  If having her life mate not claim her was painful enough, watching him give away what is rightfully hers to multiple woman was cutting her to threads.  Having enough of the pain and humiliation, Sayre takes a stand and makes an ultimatum. Instead of the results she craved, she lost everything, including her humanity.  Cain Hennessey has a deep dark secret that he wants to keep from everyone.  Finding his life m...

THE SHOCKING SECRET OF A GUEST AT THE WEDDING by Victoria Alexander

This book title is such a mouthful to say, but oh what fun it is as well.  I was intrigued just by the title of the story and the story itself had me hooked. Imagine living the first 30 years of your life thinking that your father is dead only to have him show up and put your mother in the most awkward of places. It seems that is what happens to Jackson Quincy Graham Channing, Vice President of a prestigious banking facility in New York, and his father.  His mother thought that it was not fit to tell him about his father but she also failed to inform his father that he also has a son, dun, dun ,dun. Feeling betrayed and highly upset, Jackson did something that he has never done in his entire life, made a rash decision and decided to accompany his father to his home in London to meet the rest of the family. Learning that one day he would inherit both a title and a grand estate, it seems his life is getting better and better, but Jackson does not feel that way.  ...

A FEBRUARY BRIDE by Betsy St. Amant

I thought that this idea was really sound.  To have a book about a bride for each month of the year and by different authors.  I cannot be the only one to love this idea.  I was intrigued enough to read them, but unfortunately not in the correct order. Allie Andrews is cursed.  Not just her, her entire family is cursed and she could not be any more cursed than wearing the wedding dress that her grandmother, mother and aunt has gotten married in, more that once. On her wedding day, wearing that dress, that cursed dress that has plagued her family for generations, Allie knew that she could not do it.  She can't go through with the wedding and ruin his life, so in a state of self-sacrifice ( or so she tells herself ) Allie picks up herself and ran. ( Yes, like run-away bride ) You see, Allie's family has a long history of failed marriages and they don't just get married once, they do it over and over and over again.  It's hard to believe, but it's tru...

GENTLEMEN PREFER CURVES by Sugar Jamison

This is a book after my own heart.  When I read that it was a book about big girls, I was excited to read this book and it did not disappoint.  Belinda Gordon sucks at dating, I mean, every single guy that she goes out with are total garbage. The  latest one saying that he hesitated to ask her out because of her weight. She let him off totally easy compared to what I would have done.  But seriously, it's like the universe is trying to tell her something about the men she's dating. Then the answer for the reason why she was dating all these losers came crashing into her life in the form of her estranged husband. ( Yes, she was going on dates whilst she was still married, don't judge her like I did too early, you have to know her reasons .) Carter Lancaster cannot believe that after all these years, the woman he can't stop thinking about is right in front of him.  Things don't go well when on their first meeting after four ...

LAST OF THE RED HOT COWBOYS by Tina Leonard

The last of the Red Hot Cowboys is a steamy, hot, romantic comedy that was is suppose to have you panting and craving for more, key word, suppose!  I was totally disappointed, let me tell you why. Ava Buchanan dreams of having a career in the rodeo circuit. She's a fabulous horse rider and believes that a woman can do anything a man can do, only better.  She agreed to be a part of a team that the major of Hell (yes that is the correct name for the town) , Judy, has decided to create to put Hell on the map. It sounded like a good idea at the time the only thing that put wrench in their plans was the people Mayor Judy had in mind to train her girls. A group of Red-Hot Cowboys (get it!) . And the worse of them all is Trace Carter. Trace Carter has seen the mayor come up with scheme after scheme and some of them become successful, but this has got to be the worst idea the mayor has ever come up with. Trace decided to tell the Judy exactly what he thin...

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Susan Mallery

First time reading a  +Susan Mallery  book and it was a good start, but it would have been great if I had started from the first book in the "Fool's Gold" series. This book have a type of go with it vibe that I am not used too and I cannot decide if I like it or not, yet.  I need more of  +Susan Mallery 's book to come to my own conclusion. Isabel Beebee (Yes that is her real name) has had the biggest blow to any woman's pride, ever, she turned her husband gay and he left her for another man, dun dun dun. Okay, so he was probably gay to begin with but that still does deplete a woman's sense of pride and him leaving her for a man hurt Isabel's pride so much that she moved back home to Fool's Gold to start over. Isabel wants to open a fashion store, but needs capital in order to start her business in New York so Isabel decided to run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it and then she would pack up and leave to pursue her ...
