This book is labeled as a Historical Romance, but I think that it's fair to warn you that it is also one of the best erotic romances I have read this year, maybe ever.  Elizabeth Hoyt made the words "May I" sound like the sexiest thing you can ever hear from a man. This book is a novella, so I was expecting the wham bam sex, and saying the "L" word being said early in the book. Maybe it's because I've read a good bit of erotic romance as well as BDSM books that I realized that the author might not really have a working knowledge of the BDSM world. It took me a long time to read this book.  It took me a few months and I have now completed this book.  This is mostly in part because the book did not turn out the way I thought it would have and it bored me with its weirdness. This book was a disappointment from my expectations of it. Yes, I liked the book and had many a laugh over it, but the female main character was not the strong independent  woman I was told she would be.
