TO SCOTLAND WITH LOVE by Karen Hawkins

This book come after "How to abduct a Highland Lord" which was awesome.  The good thing about this series is that you can read each book on it's own, BUT to enhance the reading experience, read all the books, in the correct order of course. Being friend since one has been five and another eight, means that you have a very good friendship, especially when you seek each other's company everyday.  You know all there secret and you theirs and you talk about each and everything that you can think of. Well that friendship changed when Venetia Oglivie, has eloped, without even knowing that she was eloping.  Being of a kind heart, when Venetia heard the news that her mother was not well, she immediately went to her rescue, like she always does, not fully understanding the consequences of riding in a closed carriage with a man, who is not a part of her family. Lord Gregor MacLean, having heard the news when Venetia failed to arrive for their daily morning ride, at onc...

THE TRUTH IS THE LIGHT by Vanessa Davis Griggs

OH MY GOODNESS, this book was so frustrating.  At first it was alright, and then I got bombarded with so many back stories that I could not for the life of me remember who’s story went to whom and names was coming at me so fast I kept forgetting them, more than usual. From what I understood a ninety-nine year old Ransom Perdue, when he was young, fell in love with a wife woman and she fell in love with him, and back in the day not only was it frown upon, you could get killed for that.  This love produced a baby girl and here is where it got really confusing, someone wanted the baby to die, either her father or her brother, and somehow the baby ended up being given to a servant and someone went crazy and then she found out she was not crazy and got her daughter back.  See, confusing, to me any way;  maybe this book is a series and you have to read those books to understand what the heck was going on in this book.  If you read this book and understand...

LIGHT ON SNOW by Anita Shreve

There are many ways a parent can get rid of their new born baby with their umbilical cord still attached. Stuffing the baby in a sleeping bag and resting them in the middle of the woods in the dead of winter is just one way of doing it. This story tells us how a brief encounter with something tragic that turns into something miraculous can change the lives of a father/daughter team who are running from the past. I did not think I would have liked this book, it sounded so simple and uneventful, but I was wrong, even though it was simple it had me wanting to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next and to know the story of the baby that changed their lives for the better. Nicky Dillon, the Heroine in this story.  She is only 12 years old and have already gone through so much. Losing her mother in a car crash was hard enough, it seems like she is slowly losing her dad as well. How can Nicky make everything right again when her fathe...
