I love the cover of this and it's the cover that compelled me to pick up the book.  When I saw  +Lisa Kleypas 's name on the front cover, I was immediately sold and  I did not even read the description on the back of the book when I hurried over to the cash register. Wow, this book takes you on a whirlwind of a ride. A man called Cupid is enough to make me laugh, but how this Cupid found love for himself, was so beautiful. This is my first book by Ms +Julia London , and even though I have the poster of her first book in this series on my wall, I have never read it, (yet) .  I am very interested in knowing the rest of the Cabot Sisters. Grace Cabot is desperate.  Her step-father, the main support for her and her sisters have died and her step-brother is about to be married. That should be a good thing, but the woman he is about to marry, dislikes them and would put them out in the cold if she could.  The only way to get stability for her sisters and herself is to marry. This in itself is a problem seeing as her mother is quite mad, and if word gets out of this, then no one would have any of them. No one wants to add the threat madness in their family. Desperation is what had Grace plotting to trap a man into marriage before the truth of her mother came out.  She had the place and the time, she even found her victim. I was always reading about how great Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane Series was awesome so just I had to go out and buy the first book in the series and now I crave much, much more. Temperance Dews has dedicated her life to the foundling home her family has founded.  She risk her life many times, delving deep into the dangerous streets of St. Giles in order to save children before they can be taken for a much horrible fate. It was on one of these outings to save a child with her lady maid,  when she happened to come across a dead body, and if that was not frightening enough, standing over the body was the person who killed it. Fleeing, but not before she got a got a good look of the murderer.  Later, in the safety of the foundling house, her maid told her the identity of the man.  He is known as Lord Clare with a very black reputation, and she was warned to stay away. Temperance meant to stay away from him, but he made her an offer she cannot refuse...

This is an oldie but a goodie. It started out a little slow for me but when it picked up, I really enjoyed it.  Alec got schooled by Julia.  Here's what I mean. Alec McLean is desperate.  He must marry before his next birthday in order to claim his grandfather's wealth.  He promised his grandfather that he would keep the money away from his cousin, who wants nothing more that to do "mysterious" deeds with it. Unfortunately Alec waited too long to claim his bride and he only had a matter of hours to wed in order to claim the money.  He made arrangements with a woman to marry so that they can sprint of the Gretna Green, before it was too late. Maybe because it was the black of night, but Alec unfortunately took the wrong woman, Instead of claiming the beautiful but scheming Therese Frant, he abducted her plain, stern cousin instead.  What is Alec to do, with only two hours left on the clock? YES!  My first purchase ever online and it was to get the final book in the MacLean Curse series.  I ordered it and waited impatiently for it to arrive and when it did, with other books and items, I was squealing all over my house and my family was watching me like if I was crazy, but I did not care. After all the excitement I waited a few more days before I read the book and consumed it within one day.  Happy and heart broken, they always say that the journey is what people look forward for rather than the end.( SIGH ) On to my review! An historical romance about an eccentric young lady who did know better but just did not care, my kind of lady. When her guardian dies, the arrival of the new one has her wanting to know better.  Miss Henrietta Barrett, who rather be called Henry, runs around managing Cornwall Estate all by herself, wearing breaches instead of frocks. Henry is quite happy with just the way things are and tries to come up with ways to run off the new Lord, but her plans backfires when William Dunford, the new Lord Cornwall was up to the challenge and made Henry feel  like a Henrietta. Any book where the main character is eccentric is a book for me, this is one of the good books filled with mischief, acceptance, misunderstanding and love.  Henry had too much freedom growing up but now that she has to conform herself to rules she acts out. William does not quite what to do with Henry so he naturally assumes that she must be reformed and made into a proper lady. T...
