IT STARTED WITH A KISS by Marina Adair

Well well well! What do we have here with this story? Is it a love story, is it a trade or is it MURDER! I'm kidding, I'm kidding, there's no murder here. Avery Adams wants adventure. She wants to push herself outside the norm and experience life instead of just existing. This came about when she survived a kidney transplant that saved her life, but it's also a ticking time bomb that can explode at any time. With her resolve to experience life, Avery did the most logical thing and got a job as a guide in the local adventure lodge in her rustic Sierra Nevada Town. She was excited for her new job until reality slapped her in the face.  Instead of getting the training she needed in order to become a guide, she's stuck in the office, managing the business as best she can. What makes this situation worse is that the business is failing and the owner is so set in his ways that he refuses to change anything to fix it.  Frustrated with the way things were, hel...

A MILLION LITTLE THING by Susan Mallery

I love going to Mischief Bay and meeting all the girls again and meeting new ones along the way. Plus we get to see a new side of Pam that gives me second thoughts about her. This book focuses on Zoe, Jen and Pam. Zoe works from home and incident that had her trapped in her attic with her hungry cat made her come to the realization that she is completely alone. Jen is the daughter of Pam and recently turned a mother herself.  Jen finds herself constantly obsessing over her son and the things that can harm him. We all know Pam (if you've read the series from the beginning ). We've been with her when she wanted to get her groove back and through the loss of her husband.  Nguy. Watch as these ladies discover a new side of themselves that they never knew existed in their fun new adventures in Mischief Bay. This book was an eye opener to a side of Pam I never knew existed. But before I get into Pam's story let's talk about the first woman we were introduced to ...

FRIDAY NIGHT BRIDES by Samantha Chase

I adored this book. It was so insightful and fun to read. It covers four different types of people and the struggle they go through in life and how they overcame it. It's was just plain beautiful to read. This is a touching story of four friends, Hailey, Becca, Angie and Ella, and how modelling for Enchanted Bridal was a big part of their lives as well as their friendship. These four friends are about the have their lives turned upside down and I just grabbed my popcorn and went along for the ride. The four friends all had their own problems to go through. From learning to love your body, catching Mr Perfect, getting married and forgiveness. I was not sure that I would totally like this book and I was correct in my assumption. Instead, I loved it. I adored all the stories but Ella's story had me entertained the most. Ella's story was the most unusual yet heart breaking with the emotion behind it. I actually thought that it was not going to work out but it...

RECIPE FOR KISSES by Michelle Major

This was very sweet and emotional story about two lost souls, no wait.....make that four lost souls who came together and found happiness. Chole is afraid of big men with strong personalities, Ben is a big man with a huge personality. Then how did Chole fall in love with Ben? Especially with a nickname like "The Beast". This question would be answered as you read the book and I adore that the love story progressed at a steady pace. This gave room for playful banter, heartache and wonderful discoveries. Chole was dealt a bad hand at life, and it's very admirable of her to pick not only herself up, but also women who have suffered like her, and found a way for them to find  a new place in the world themselves again. Too bad in doing this, Chole was going bankrupt with her business and would have to shut down her business.  The last thing she needs is the sexy new owner of her building butting into her life. Ben is not without his own demons.  Branded a...

SWEET LITTLE LIES by Jill Shalvis

This book was a little difficult for me to follow along with.  Some of the words were unnecessary and I found myself skipping parts of the words on a page.  Yet, this was still a sweet story to read. Pru has made it her job in life to make people happy.  Not all people, just certain select individuals.  The person she has her sight on to make happy at the moment is sexy pup owner, Finn O'Riley. Pru has already put things in place now all she has to do was stick around long enough to see if her plan was working. The thing is, Pru had no plan of falling in love with Mr. Right. She believes that she doesn't deserve love, at least not yet. Yet when Finn looks at her with his deep green eyes, her entire body tingles and shakes until all she can think about is her and Finn. All Pru had to do is take the chance and go after Finn to find her own happiness. But a terrible secret is holding Pru back, a secret so big it might make Finn hate her forever. ...

THE FRIENDS WE KEEP by Susan Mallery

+Susan Mallery  has done it to me again. She wrote a book of love, heartbreak, family and friends that brought tears to my eyes, again.  I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for more in this series. Gabby Schaefer is excited to finally get back into the workforce.  After taking off five years to take care of her kids, they are finally old enough to go to pre-school and Gabby can now feel like a grown up again. But plans have a way of going astray, especially when Gabby and her husband have different expectations for a family situation that may or may not ruin their lives. Getting pregnant is not a problem for Hayley Batchelor, staying pregnant is the difficult part. With the expensive fertility treatments that Hayley and her husband take, you'll think that they'll have a better chance of staying pregnant. But with miscarriage after miscarriage, Hayley looks like a former shell of her old self.  Her husband is worried about her, but Ha...

ANYTHING FOR YOU by Kristan Higgins

This book had me thinking a lot.  Jess's live was not an easy one.  She made some bad choices in her life, but she did them with the best intentions.  I wonder if I would have done, half of the things she did if I was in her position? Connor O'Rourke proposed to the girl of his dreams, Jessica Dunn, and was refused! They have known each other throughout their entire lives and their relationship might not have the best history but their feelings are real. They have always had an on again off again kind of relationship and Connor just wanted to make Jessica his wife.  But when she refused him, he told her that they were officially done and never getting back together.  Jessica just walked away. Jessica Dunn has done things that no girl should have to do in order to protect her brother.  Growing up with two acholic parents, Jessica had to take care of both herself and her special brother for all of her life. She has spent so much of her ...

LET LOVE FIND YOU by Johanna Lindsey

Wow, this book takes you on a whirlwind of a ride. A man called Cupid is enough to make me laugh, but how this Cupid found love for himself, was so beautiful. Amanda Locke is everything a man can ask for in a wife.  She's beautiful, smart, engaging and a Duke's daughter.  But this is Amanda's third season and she is no closer to finding a husband than when she started. Her family is trying their best to help her, but they themselves are baffled by her lack of marriage proposals. She's doing everything right!  She would not allow any of her suitors to call on her nor does she truly listen to their stories.  She does all of the talking to the same gentlemen at every gathering, waiting for her true love to find her.  What else is she suppose to do? When her sister-in-law suggests that she ask the famous cupid for advice, Amanda is mortified.  She refuses to ask the brute of a man who dared to tell her she talks too much for any kind of help. ...

KISS ME by Susan Mallery

This is my favorite book in the Fool's Hold Series right now.  This was so sweet and sexy and I couldn't get enough. Phoebe Kitzke is the kindest person you will ever meet.  She would literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it more than she did. Too bad that same kind heart of hers is what made her get suspended from her job with no pay.  Determined that this was the last time that she would ever do a favor for someone, her best friend throws a wrench in her new resolutions and pleads for her to help her family ranch in Fool's Gold. Knowing that she cannot deny her friend anything, Phoebe agrees and find herself on an early flight to Fool's Gold where she gets her first sighting of the silent and sexy, Zane Nicholson.  Phoebe's heart kicked up a notch when she saw the sexy cowboy, too bad his face shows that he is not thrilled to have her there. All his life Zane always had to be in control.  He had to take control of hi...
