HEAT by Jamie K. Schmidt

When your fiance is a drug addict and starts beating on you what do you do?  You stay and take the beating of course, since you're a doctor and believes that you can fix him.   When he forces drugs down your throat, do you knock him out and report his ass to the police, nooo.  You wait until he passes out, grab what you can and go into hiding. This seems to be the case for E.R (No not the tv show) Dr. Mallory Bryant. After hiding for two months and her finance completely depleted, Mallory has no other choice than to seek help from the black sheep of the family, her older sister Colleen.  Colleen owns a "special" business called Couture which has a sweet side and a wicked side.  Wanting to protect her little sister, Colleen enlisted the help of one of her employees to look after her. Max, liking the benefits of the job, excepts it and that is how to story of Max and Mallory began.  Because of the wicked side of Couture, Colleen has heavy securit...

VIRGIN RIVER by Robyn Carr

I've heard a lot of good things about Miss Robyn Carr on Facebook and I just had to go and check out her books for myself.  When I arrived at my local bookstore, there were so many of her books to choose from I just did not know where to start, so obviously I chose to start from the beginning.  Let me start out by saying, there is something in the water in Virgin River. When suffering from grief, the thing that you will need the most is your family and friends around you to help you through your pain, but not Melinda Monroe. Wanting to start all over in a new environment the first thing she did was sell everything of importance, packed up everything that she needed and moved to the middle of nowhere where no one knows her and won't ask her uncomfortable questions.   How she came to the middle of no-where you may ask?  She answered an ad that said: Wanted : Midwife/nurse practitioner in Virgin River, population six hundred.  Make a difference ag...

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Susan Mallery

First time reading a  +Susan Mallery  book and it was a good start, but it would have been great if I had started from the first book in the "Fool's Gold" series. This book have a type of go with it vibe that I am not used too and I cannot decide if I like it or not, yet.  I need more of  +Susan Mallery 's book to come to my own conclusion. Isabel Beebee (Yes that is her real name) has had the biggest blow to any woman's pride, ever, she turned her husband gay and he left her for another man, dun dun dun. Okay, so he was probably gay to begin with but that still does deplete a woman's sense of pride and him leaving her for a man hurt Isabel's pride so much that she moved back home to Fool's Gold to start over. Isabel wants to open a fashion store, but needs capital in order to start her business in New York so Isabel decided to run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it and then she would pack up and leave to pursue her ...

ONLY HERS by Francis Ray

Okay, I went into my local Library and saw this books and instantly picked it up.  I know you're not suppose to judge a book by it's cover, but i just could not resist, it was a bonus that the book happened to be good as well. When Shannon Johnson needs to get away from her life, she escapes to Texas, where she inherited a cabin. The owner of the cabin was one of her patients and knew the trouble she was having and told her that the cabin will heal her. Upon reaching the cabin however, she saw that it was nothing but a run-down shack and felt her despair deepen, things does not get better when she meets Matt Taggart, the smoking hot neighbor from next door. Matt Taggart was surveying his land when he came upon someone sleeping in a car.  Locals know better than to stay on his land and he goes to confront them.  Matt did not expect to see a beautiful woman asleep in the car and a fire consumes him to possess her. Let's just say, even with the heat brewing betwee...

INCOMPLETE by Lindy Zart

Do you know how it feels, that a boy, have you as the center of is world and to take all his love and feelings and throw it back in his face! I'm getting ahead of myself.  Greyson Lee is a troubled soul with an abusive family relationship.  Not the type of abuse that leaves physical wounds, the kind that hurts the mind and heart, making you think negative thoughts about yourself. Greyson thinks that something is wrong with him.  That if he was not alive the whole world would be a better place; that is why even though he is in love with his next door neighbor and best friend, Lily, he thinks that he is not good enough for her. Lily was the one that forced him to open up, Lily was the one that really saw him, Lily was the only one that allowed him to be himself and Greyson fell in love with her, before he even understood what love was. He lets out his love for her through the songs he writes and sings out his emotion for her when she is not around, telling him...

ALWAYS ON MY MIND by Jill Shalvis

Leah Sullivan is a perfectionist who surprisingly never finishes anything and runs away from her problems; which is really weird since perfectionist always want to achieve everything they set out to do and drive their family and friends crazy with their OCDness.  Jack Harper is a hard working firefighter who finds himself cast in his deceased father shadow, always feeling like he has to work harder and go down in a blaze of glory, just like his dad did.  Seeing his mother fall apart after his dad’s death, Jack swore never to get involved in any series relationships to avoid the emotional pain his job can and will cause. Jack and Leah have been friends since childhood and they come up with this plot of pretending that they are in a relationship to make his mother feel better and to stop worrying about Jack and just focusing on getting better , but the plot came a little too serious for the both of them to handle. They tried starting a relationship in the past bu...
