CRASH AND BURN by Rachel Lacey

This book was not the usual Rachel Lacey book and I should know, I've actually read all of them.  This is a story I've not read before and it puts to light what your brain thinks about when you think that you're about to die. Isa Delgado is terrified of flying and now she has to step foot into her first ever plane ride to help a rescue dog that only responds to her. The rescue is a husky dog named Maya who likes to run away when things get rough.  This does not help Isa with her fear of flying but the hunk who was her pilot might help matters a bit. Take off was not so bad and it relaxed Isa to see Maya calm during the flight.  Just when she thought that flying might not be so bad, everything goes horribly wrong. Nate lives to fly.  He's been flying for as long as he can remember. That's why he did not foresee any problems in flying a lady and her dog to their destination. Things don't go as planned when in the middle of their flight, shit hit t...

COME THE SPRING by Julie Garwood

Okay guys, if you read my last post it was also about Julie Garwood and I am sad to say that I was left wanting, and not in a good way.  This book was better, much better and I advice all of you to read it, buy read it and add it to your library; you will not regret it. A dozen robberies have been made over a two year period and not a clue as to who did them or how.  They were dubbed the name "The Backwater Gang" due to the name of the first town they hit, but things took a turn for the worse when they got a taste for killing. Now every bank they hit, they leave no one alive.  This was not good news for the two Marshalls that were assigned to the case, Cole Clayborne and Daniel Ryan.  One of them have a very personal reason for finding the gang and the other was forced into it. When the gang robbed another bank, they thought that they killed everyone in sight, but there was someone hiding and the marshall's finally have the witness that they needed when they...

CHASING FIRE by Nora Roberts

In this book it goes into the lives of the Zulie’s A.K.A the Fire Jumpers.  How Mrs. Roberts describes the job of the Fire Jumpers makes me feel like I am really there, feeling the adrenaline from jumping out of a plane ( something I would never really do ) and feel the heat of the flames. Rowan Tripp ( who reminds me a little of Eve Dallas ) is one of the best Fire Jumpers, just like her father nick named “Iron Man”, is a woman who does not mix business with pleasure.  A newbie Zulie comes along with the power to change her mind and make her like it to. Even her father is getting his romance on and even though the part of the book where he and his lady friend was “getting it on” was extremely disturbing to me, the rest of their romance was sweet and wonderful. No book comes without conflict and this one comes with a whopper of a conflict.  People are being murdered and setting the bodies on fire, which the Fire Jumpers have to put out, where burns and inj...
