THE FIFTY SHADES TRILOGY by E.L James

I kept hearing about this Fifty Shades of Grey book and I was intrigued enough to beg someone to borrow their copy of the book (the library doesn’t have a copy).  When my sister brought the first book home and I was so excited everybody was looking at me weirdly at home (LOL), but at last the excitement died when I started to read it, I thought it was a rip off of the Twilight book and I wanted to chuck it in the corner and sulk but I pressed on and I am glad I did.  I was waiting for Christian to get all sparkerly in the sunlight and what I got instead was like WHOAH.

This book is NOT your typical boy meets girl and falls in love, love story.  In my opinion Christian Grey had way more problems than what up-bringing suggested but hey, people develop differently from abusive background and I can’t judge and the good thing is, he got through all of his issues through the trilogy thanks to the help of Anastasia Steele.

When I finished the first book I made a surprised visit to my sister’s workplace to harass, I mean ask her co-worker to allow me to borrow the second book and I am so glad I did because after how the first one finish I was like seriously, it could not end this way and I was going crazy.  The second book had so many drama and “relations” in it that I screamed a dramatic NOOOOOOOOOOOOO when I finished it.

The third book I borrowed from the Librarian (from her own personal collection) and now that I have finished the Trilogy I feel empty, it’s always the journey that is the most exciting.

I don’t want to give too much away because I do not want to spoil the surprises installed in the book but here are some teasers, there are numbers involved with some revealing pictures, something nick named the “Red room of Pain”, Mrs. Robinson (<--BITCH) and when all the books are done the author gave us an inside to Christian side of the story which was way better than the original book, E.L James should have a special where she rewrites the book from Christian’s point of view, it would we way cool, so go out and buy the series, GO AND DO IT.

AT THE DUKE'S PLEASURE by Tracey Anne Warren

All the books I choose are like a yo-yo, first one disappoints me and then the next one makes up for it. I'm still in my "trying something new" phase and even with the disappointments in some books, I'm loving trying new authors.  At the Duke's Pleasure is an awesome read that will have you laughing. Edward Byron, Duke of Clybourne, has had his life planned out since the day he was born.  What school he had to attend, the friends he was to keep and worst of all, what bride he was to take.  This was too much for a boy of ten to take and he rebelled (quietly) against having a bride, ten years his junior.  Now Edward is in his early thirty's and finally saw the wisdom of his father choosing a bride for him, but when he goes to claim his bride, would she have him? Claire Marsden has always known that she was to marry a Duke and has been excited about the marriage until her heart was broken at the tender age of sixteen. To further add insult to injury, her...
