The last of the Red Hot Cowboys is a steamy, hot, romantic comedy that was is suppose to have you panting and craving for more, key word, suppose! I was totally disappointed, let me tell you why.
Ava Buchanan dreams of having a career in the rodeo circuit. She's a fabulous horse rider and believes that a woman can do anything a man can do, only better. She agreed to be a part of a team that the major of Hell (yes that is the correct name for the town), Judy, has decided to create to put Hell on the map.
It sounded like a good idea at the time the only thing that put wrench in their plans was the people Mayor Judy had in mind to train her girls. A group of Red-Hot Cowboys (get it!). And the worse of them all is Trace Carter.
Trace Carter has seen the mayor come up with scheme after scheme and some of them become successful, but this has got to be the worst idea the mayor has ever come up with.
Trace decided to tell the Judy exactly what he thinks about her hair brain idea and that would have put an end to this nonsense. What man in his right mind would trust a woman to protect him from a bull anyways.
But the mayor is determined as well as sneaky. Bull fighting wasn't the only reason she brought in her team, and she does not plan to fail at any of her task. Being a woman with a plan, the mayor sticks Ava on Trace and sat back and watched the fireworks explode.
Ava thinks that Trace is more stubborn than a mule and Trace thinks that Ava is the most sexy woman he has ever seen. These two butt heads at every turn and with Ava determined to get her way and Trace determined to have his, you got yourself the classic story of boy against girl, where of course the girl always wins.
Tina Leonard wrote a book. That's it, I had some fun when Ava left Trace at the lake but other than that, it was okay. Most of the time during this book I was bored and irritated. I just wanted something to happen already.
The mayor is crazy and seemed really selfish, and is their a book before this one, because I got confused by a lot of things that was going on. The mayor has a nemesis that I don't really understand what the heck is wrong between the two. The mayor reasons for bringing the girls in Hell kept changing and why, oh why, do the mayor always do this to everyone.
I did not like any of the characters, Trace was stupid, Ava was annoying and the rest of the characters made no sense because I did not really feel their presence. I was expecting hot cowboys, who are stubborn but fair who would want to make you melt.
What I got instead is a bunch of hard headed jack-aces with God complexes that really got on my nerves. I was disappointed by this book, it was not what I was expecting.
