Swans Book Review

I went from book one straight to book eight in this series and even though some of the characters are familiar to me, I got really confuse to as to who everyone was and how they fit together. Lady Phoebe Batten is a caged bird yearning to be free.  Her brother, A Duke, has posted guards to protect her twenty-four seven all because of a little blindness. Okay, her blindness was not a little thing since she was almost completely blind in both eyes. She can still see shapes, but only when the light is really good. Phoebe remembers a time where she was allowed to roam free and do as she wishes when her eye site became worse and worse, and now someone is determined to abduct her and do heavens knows what. It took me a long time to read this book.  It took me a few months and I have now completed this book.  This is mostly in part because the book did not turn out the way I thought it would have and it bored me with its weirdness. Here is what I mean. Hannah Daniels does not find it weird to sit and read an erotic book whilst waiting for her clothes to wash in a public laundry-mart. I requested this book mainly because I read one of  +Kristan Higgins  books and I loved it, and I wanted to read another  to see if the magic I experienced with the best man was still there.  It was still there, can't wait to read more of her books. I had this book in my library of my Kindle app for the longest while and I never read it.  I was browsing through my library when I saw it and I opened it up and was immediately hooked. This book was a disappointment from my expectations of it. Yes, I liked the book and had many a laugh over it, but the female main character was not the strong independent  woman I was told she would be.
