I got this book for free on Amazon and I loved it, it was not my usual cup of tea, but my oh my was it fun. It had no romance, no soft spots, just sex. I wonder if it really has a service like this in the real wo

TRAPPED AT THE ALTAR by Jane Feather

Wow, this book is just, WOW.  First time in ever, I think that the woman was a total and selfish female dog.  I cannot stress how much I disliked how this woman thinks, poor Ivor. Ariadne Carfax has always known that she was to marry her distant cousin Ivor to form an alliance between the two feuding families.  Feeling trapped in a marriage she does not want, Ariadne escapes from the the valley where her family lives to have a few moments of freedom to herself and this is where she met Gabriel Fewcett. Thinking herself in love, Ariadne escapes everyday to be with her love who in turn loves her back.  Ariadne threw caution to the win, not thinking of the consequences of her actions.  The day had finally come for her marriage and due to her actions, she is tricked at the altar (get it) by her family.  they think that she has plans of ignoring her obligations and escape the valley one day, so why wait for the marriage when it can happen sooner rather than later. ONLY HERS by Francis Ray

Okay, I went into my local Library and saw this books and instantly picked it up.  I know you're not suppose to judge a book by it's cover, but i just could not resist, it was a bonus that the book happened to be good as well. When Shannon Johnson needs to get away from her life, she escapes to Texas, where she inherited a cabin. The owner of the cabin was one of her patients and knew the trouble she was having and told her that the cabin will heal her. Upon reaching the cabin however, she saw that it was nothing but a run-down shack and felt her despair deepen, things does not get better when she meets Matt Taggart, the smoking hot neighbor from next door. Matt Taggart was surveying his land when he came upon someone sleeping in a car.  Locals know better than to stay on his land and he goes to confront them.  Matt did not expect to see a beautiful woman asleep in the car and a fire consumes him to possess her. Let's just say, even with the heat brewing between

THE GLASS KITCHEN by Lisa Francis Lee

The glass kitchen, when I saw it on +Facebook  I thought it was a cookbook and overlooked it, but then it kept popping up on my news feed and I finally read what it was about.  It peaked my interest and I requested it on  +NetGalley  and the rest is history. Portia Cuthcart is dying.  Okay, not literally dying but close enough.  Tragedy has befallen Portia at more than one intervals in her live, the latest one has her being homeless and almost penniless.  Portia must now move to New York, to her apartment that was left to her and her two sisters, which is old and worn down.  On her very first day there, she encounters the owner of the of the other two apartments that her sisters sold their share too.  Seeing as how she promised to sell her apartment to him as well, but decided against it at the last minute, Portia wants to avoid him at all cost, least he wants to ask her to sell again. Gabriel Kane is man who people want to get a piece of since he represents power and money.

FOREVER AND A DAY by Jill Shalvis

+Jill Shalvis  has done it again.  She has created a wonderful universe where I just want to jump right in and experience the action for myself. Grace Brooks is not having a good day, scratch that, she's not having a good life.  Always feeling like she has to live up too what her parents want for her, Grace kind of lost herself in the process, or more like, she was never given the chance to discover who she is. After walking out on a job four months ago, Grace finds herself in Lucky Harbor where she meets some great friends and people who make her feel at home, which is a first for Grace. Needing money Grace accepted a dog walking job (although she stole it) which brought her into the dysfunctional world of Dr. Josh Scott. Josh Scott is an Alpha man, he takes care of people which makes him being doctor perfect for him; except that there is not enough time in the day to accomplish what he has to do. After taking x amount of hours at work, he has to come home to take car

RANSOM by Julie Garwood

Now I'm back to woman having the brain and men being their regular clueless selves. I love Ransom, I'm ashamed to say that it took me some time before I realized that it was a continuation from another one of +Julie Garwood 's books, when you read the book, can you guess which one it is? Lady Gillian, having seen her family destroyed by a power hungry beast called Baron Alford, who sole purpose was to retrieve a jeweled box for his King John.  Upon seeing that the box was lost to him and that Gillian was not telling him anything, he banished her to her uncles house until he has need of her again. With her father murdered and her sister missing, Gillian is left on her own with only a maid to accompany her to her uncles house.  One thing Gillian does know is that she will never forgive the man who destroyed her family.  Now over a decade later, Baron Alford believes he has found Gillian's sister who he thinks knows the whereabouts of the jeweled box.  He needs Gi

THEN CAME YOU by Jill Shalvis

I love +Jill Shalvis, she writes such interesting and exciting stories that has me enthralled from the first page.  I have to say I was a bit bummed (like totally pissed) when I no longer received invites to review her Lucky Harbor series, but no worries (yes worries) I'm okay with that.  "Then came you" is part of the Animal Magnetism Series, and it's the fifth book in the series. I found the perfect man, by my standards anyway, in this book and I wanted to hit Emily when she didn't understand that. Emily Stevens is a woman with a plan, which includes doing her internship at the Los Angeles clinic liked she planned, and not at a small animal clinic in Sunshine, Idaho.  Saying to herself that this is a side road from her plan, she sets into her calendar the amount of days she has until she has obligated her vet school scholarship and get back to her "real life". On her first day, she realized that it was not going to be as easy as she thought.  On

UNFINISHED BUSINESS by Brenda Jackson

Lucky me, I always seem to pick up books that follow a pattern, and my current pattern are women you get what they need handed to them only to throw it in the garbage for what they think they need, and this woman was one of the worst offenders of doing just that. Christy Madaris, has always been the baby in the family.  Having come along late her parents lives when all their other children were already grown or close to it, she was lavished with attention and was always protected, especially by her three older brothers who think that no one was good enough for their baby sister. Having finished college and and obtaining a job as an investigative reporter, Christy thinks that it's about time that she lives on her own, away from her over protective brothers, but the main reason is for her to mend her broken heart. Alex Maxwell is a family friend of the Madaris, and best friends with Christy's brothers. After Christy left home to live on her own, her brothers came to Alex

NIGHT OF PLEASURE by Delilah Marvelle

I have to say, this book was refreshing and I loved it.  It emphasized on the coming together of first timers and the awkwardness that comes with it.  I loved this book for that and the characters were just too much (but in a good way). Derek Charles Holbrook, Viscount Banfield, knew at the age of seventeen whom he was to marry.  Worst yet, it was announced at his father's death bed, so their was no way of getting out of it.  Derek didn't even want to, since  he first set eyes on his future bride, he wanted her; too bad she was only fourteen and they were allowed to marry when she turned eighteen. Miss Clementine Henrietta Grey has never wanted to get married, her past showed her that marriage was not for her and wanted to escape her intended marriage at all cost.  The cost was agreeing to marry someone else, and a Prince no less.   When things didn't work out, Clementine finds herself right where she started off, would Derek take her back or would her hurtful ways

THE SCANDALOUS ADVENTURES OF THE SISTER OF THE BRIDE By Victoria Alexander

The Scandalous Adventures of the Sister of the Bride is such a handful to say when people asked me what book was I reading, yet for some reason, very easy to remember; so bravo Miss Alexander for the clever title.  I love this book and was totally disappointed at the ending.  Let me tell you why. Lady Delilah Hargate, when she was in America decided to have an adventure, of the scandalous kind.  But after her adventure was over she told her companion in no uncertain terms that it would be best if they never saw each other again.  Seeing as she thought she'll never see him again, since he is an American and she lives in England, that she was safe.  Boy was she surprised when he showed up three weeks before her sister's wedding and worse yet, he's a dear friend of the groom and is a guest. Samuel Russell on the other hand, felt a special connection with this lady and since he cannot get her out of his mind, he decided to arrive in England earlier than expected.  Imagin
