Tempted by His Touch: A LIMITED EDITION BOXED SET of Dukes, Rogues, & Alpha Heroes Historical Romance Novels (I know it's a mouthful)

Q&A with Erica Ridley What’s your favorite historical romance?  Any old-school Julie Garwood novel. Love her wacky heroines and the men they drove insane. What is the first romance novel you ever read?  ONCE A PRINCESS by Johanna Lindsay. Very much a product of its time, but it hooked me on romance forevermore! Would you want to live in the time you write about?  I'd love to visit, and stay for the London Season! What would you love?  I would love to see, hear, and taste everything in real life. I adore experiencing new places and interacting with different cultures. You never really know a place or a people until you're walking in those shoes. I'd love to talk to servants, dance with dukes, and gossip with curmudgeonly matrons.  Hate? No cell phones Half the fun would be responding to photo comments from Facebook friends! ;) If given the choice between a duke, a rogue, or an alpha hero, which would you choose?  ...

DADDY'S GAME by Normandie Alleman

Do you love your daddy?  Not the daddy that was responsible for your mother being pregnant with you, the type of daddy who takes care of your needs, sexually.  Yeah, it's not exactly my cup of tea but this does appeal to some ladies or men. Carmen Harris was hiding in her agent's office on the day of her gallery opening.  Why was she hiding? because she is very shy and afraid of what people would think about her paintings. When her agent finally gets her out of his office, Carmen comes face to face with football star Natron Dakers. Natron brings out the beast in Carmen.  She realized that Natron is the kind of man who knows what he wants and and goes after it and apparently, he wants her. When Natron first met Carmen, he new that she was the right woman for him.  His first attempt of claiming her were shot down, but he was too irresistible to resist a second time.  And the love affair between the artist and the football star begins.  Things ...

THE EARL'S MISTRESS by Liz Carlyle

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a mistress? To be in control of a man's desires? Ever wonder what it would be like to be the mistress of an Earl? Me neither, but for one lady, she was left with no choice. Isabella Aldridge is a brilliant woman with tremendous pressure cast on her shoulders.  Having to take care of her two sisters with her job as a governess was difficult, but it became almost impossible when she lost her job. Now looking for a new post as a governess elsewhere, she was brought to the attention of an Earl.  After "interviewing" Isabella for a few seconds he dismissed her, but not before giving her some advice.  His advice was for her to become a mistress. After rightfully slapping the Earl's smug face and storming off, Isabella realized that what the Earl said was true.  No one would have her as a governess and marring her cousin was out of the question so the only thing she can do is become a mistress. Resolved in her new role to p...

INN AT LAST CHANCE by Hope Ramsey

I'm not sure if this book ended fairly or if the author cheated.  I feel cheated somehow but I can't place my finger on why I feel this way. Let me explain. Jenny Carpenter has decided to take charge of her life, which includes her quitting her job as a teacher in her small hometown of Last Chance ( Yes, that is the real name of the town ) and pursuing her dream of opening a Bed and Breakfast of her own. It has nothing to do with her giving up being married with kids and to embrace her spinster hood, it's just that she found that it was time to follow her dreams. Trouble comes when the former owner of the hunted house Jenny bought shows up on a dark and stormy night ( I'm not kidding ) demanding that she sell him back his house.  Not comprehending why someone would see her a house and then want to buy it back at a ridiculous prize, Jenny told him that she's not selling, slammed the door in his face and thought that was the end of it. Gabriel Raintree is a b...
