MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE I hope you all enjoy your Christmas with your friends and families and also your books, I know I am.  Sorry I have not been posting as much, but with exams everything was hectic. I will post new reviews for the next year of 2014, and I would be posting my top ten authors, which I said I would have done earlier this year. Look forward to it!

STAY THE NIGHT by Chilufiya Safaa

This book was SAPPY, it was way to sappy for me; and by sappy I mean it was so lovely dovey it was bordering in to good to be true. Adana Terrell is a successful woman who had her pride bruised by a past relationship and now has a mindset that she is not cut out for relationships or marriage. A planned vacation to visit her happily married sisters showed her that she could still feel completely for one man, but is passion enough to keep them together? Kamau Mazrui is ruggedly handsome and come from a successful family that loves him.  Kamau is still in mourning over his wife and promised himself no more headstrong or independent woman, thinking that that was his wife's downfall. Now these two people, both thinking that they are not right for each other,  shared one great night of passion and with the morning light came the reality of what they have done. Would these two stubborn people overcome their own demons that keeps them apart of would they realize that they...

CHAINS OF ICE by Christina Dodd

When I saw this in the library I was so excited I let out a little squeal but everyone still turned round and looked at me funny so apparently it was not little, but I was so excited. I read the first two books in the series and it was awesome and I want to read them all. In this book John Powell, the man they say that when who have him, no other man will do, you will imagine that every woman would be after him, and they would but he only chooses the most wounded. Okay, this book is not only about smex, it is about a man, one of the chosen, who after a unsuccessful mission, lose faith in himself and his gift and went into isolation and nothing the Gypsy Travel Agency says will ever change his mind until Genny. Genny, real name Genesis (weird right), is also one of the abandoned children even though she grew up having two parents, did not mean she got the love that a parent is suppose to give. Wanting to do something for herself before having to live the rest of her life tr...

HEARTBREAK PROOF by William Goode and Michelle Roy

One of the authors of this book contacted me and asked me to review their book.  I was more than happy to do it and I must admit, he boost my ego just a little bit. Now he asked for my honest opinion so do not be angry with me for my review okay, this is what I honestly thought of the book. I was mostly confuse during this book.  First she was this hard to get lawyer and he doing something and he liked her but she thought of him as a womanizing pig. Then somewhere along the book, their roles change, and to me, she turned into a pig and he turned into a sweet caring person. The weird thing that bonded them together was writing erotic stories together.  I've read hotter but I have to admit that some of their stories were pretty steamy. He falls in love with her but doesn't understand that he has fallen in love with her.  She, I cannot understand her, does she love him or not and the stupid way they stop talking to each other because of something they both ...

NO MORE PLAYAS by Brenda Jackson

At first I was upset because I thought the ending of the book came first but then I realized that it was brilliant. Miss Jackson skipped the falling in love story and went straight into the grovelling and apologizing stage to get the girl back. Lance Montgomery was a huge arse and Dr. Asia Fowler blinded herself with her past pain but as nice as their love story was I loved Lance's sister, Carrie, love story much better and I thought that her story overshadowed her brothers. I more wanted to know what was going to happen next with Carrie and Conner (don't they sound cute!). Miss Brenda made me feel the pain and the joy of her characters and I cannot wait to find another of her books in the library to read.

BED OF ROSES (Book two in the Brides Quarlet) By Nora Roberts

I love flowers but not as much as Miss Emmaline Grant, she lives for them.  Emma is part owner of Vows, which is in the wedding business and Emma's part is with the flowers.  The bouquet, the table center piece, once it involves flowers, Emma does it and does it with a fairy tale quality. Growing up with a love story like her parents, Emma's head constantly romanticizes everything.  She keep looking for Mr Right and she found him in Jack. Jack Cooke is a enjoy them now and leave them before they get to close kind of guy.  His mindset encourages him into not wanting or needing a relationship knowing that they never last and people get hurt. With Emma, there was no holding back and he was constantly hesitating when she says or does something that he thinks violates his space. He constantly hurts Emma unintentionally and Emma feels as if she has to frequently hold back her feelings so as not to scare Jack off. Shit hit the fan when she couldn't take ho...

ALWAYS ON MY MIND by Jill Shalvis

Leah Sullivan is a perfectionist who surprisingly never finishes anything and runs away from her problems; which is really weird since perfectionist always want to achieve everything they set out to do and drive their family and friends crazy with their OCDness.  Jack Harper is a hard working firefighter who finds himself cast in his deceased father shadow, always feeling like he has to work harder and go down in a blaze of glory, just like his dad did.  Seeing his mother fall apart after his dad’s death, Jack swore never to get involved in any series relationships to avoid the emotional pain his job can and will cause. Jack and Leah have been friends since childhood and they come up with this plot of pretending that they are in a relationship to make his mother feel better and to stop worrying about Jack and just focusing on getting better , but the plot came a little too serious for the both of them to handle. They tried starting a relationship in the past bu...
