EXCERPT
Clap clap clapRuby was trying to get our attention, letting us know that the show was about to start. What show, you ask? The kind that had us drooling and imagining filthy activities in the privacy of our bedrooms. Well, except for Em, she just wrote it for the world to read about and enjoy.
With a collective sigh, we all turned to the room-length mahogany bar and made ourselves comfortable. Enter Raùl. That’s right. The highlight of our week was the hunk of Cuban man serving drinks just for us. I thought I heard Emmeline moan, Ava’s hand had mysteriously disappeared beneath the table, and I was pretty sure drool was easing out of the corners of my mouth. I instinctively brought my hand to my parted lips and wiped off my imaginary dribble. With a year round tan that came only from perfect genes, hair black as night, and a smile that made women drop their panties and spread their legs, Raùl mixed, shook, and poured the ingredients for our traditional margaritas.
Cue in the porn music, right there. As always, he knew exactly what each of us drank, our favorite flavors, and just the right amount of alcohol to keep us steady on our designer stilettos. Every time he topped off a glass, he looked over at the destined party and flashed his orgasm-inducing smile. Cue in sparkle for his teeth, right there. “God, what I wouldn’t do to ride that train, right about now.” Those words were supposed to stay in my head, but of course they spilled from between my lips like running diarrhea.
“Well, unless you have an eight inch dick hidden between those gorgeous thighs of yours, babe, this is about as close as you’re getting to the station.” Fucking Buzz-Kill-Bethany.
MY REVIEW
This book was just wow, just blow your freaking mind wow. I love smutty books, but only when it's done right and this book was done right.
Delilah Jameson is in a special predicament. She has been in love with her roommate, Cole, for the past three years. Why is she still hesitating after all these years? I'll tell you why, it's because she's stupid.
Delilah is an independent woman. She has an amazing job being the owner of an Art Gallery and has amazing friends with whom she can share anything with. And yet she feels that something is missing in her life.
Or course, the thing missing in her life, is her ripping Cole's clothes off and having her wicked way with him, but atlas, her wild imagination and misguided opinion keeps her from getting what she wants.
Can Delilah get over herself and go after Cole? Would Cole recuperate her feelings? Find out in this intriguing, sexy and amazing first book in the UCC Saga, Disheveled.
+Eva LeNoir brought the heat in this book. Ladies, (and gentlemen), you would not be disappointed. This book was sexy, cute and fun all wrapped up into one.
Delilah, even knowing Cole for close to four years, does not have the best opinion of him. She claims that she is in love with him, but won't make a move because he is a "manwhore". Apparently, in her mind, Cole goes out every night, picks up a girl, fu*ks her, thanks her for a lovely evening and walks away.
Delilah was determined not to become another notch on his bedpost, even though the temptation was so great. In trying to get over the love of her life, she signs herself up to an online dating site, where she meets a sexy stranger.
It's weird to say that he was sexy, seeing as how Delilah did not get to see his real picture, but his words sure made him sexy. He made her feel bold and daring, making her do things that she would not have ordinarily done.
When he suggest that they meet in person, she boldly accepts. Except, she did not get to actually see him, since his one condition for meeting is for her to wear a blindfold. I know, Kinky right! After he blows her mind, he leaves, making Delilah want him more.
But with Delilah having her own fun, she realizes that Cole is acting weird and out of character. We all know where this is going, but I'm not confirming it by actually saying it.
All I can warn you about is that this book contains sexual scenes that are tasteful and arousing. I have read a good bit of books, where the sex was not stimulating, boring or just plain wrong. What I mean by wrong is where the author just wrote the words down without thinking about the emotion behind it.
An example is (right off the top of my head) "He touched her at her core and felt her wetness there and knew that she was ready and drove his spear into her core and they both gasp in pleasure." This is what I'm talking about, I just said what they were doing, and it sounds flat doesn't it?
What Eva wrote was the emotion behind the act that made it seem as if they actually enjoyed what they were doing and OMG, I have not read a book where the dirty talk was so damn good. (SIGH).
I want more from this author, no questions ask. Once I see a book with this Eva LeNoir's name on it, I'm not even bothering to look at the description, I'm just going to pick it up and read. This is only the first book, my blush-o-meter is going to through the roof when I read the rest of it.
