AN UNCOMMON WHORE by Belinda McBride

Usually I don't really like to read a science fiction book that is too much removed from what we use today.  This is because I have a hard time picturing what it is exactly I'm suppose to be picturing.  (if that makes any sense to you).  I requested this book because of the publisher and I was not disappointed.

Pasha hates being a slave. Having to earn his keep on his knees on the most dangerous bar on Warlan. He tried to run away but the officials caught him and brought him back to his owner.

Even if, by some miracle, he does escape, where would he return to?  With no memory of who he is, Pasha has no idea who or what is waiting for him.  Yet deep down, he knows that he is meant for more.

This particular day in Warlan, Pasha discovers a dangerous looking pirate in the bar.  There was something about him that instantly caught his interest and Pasha knew that he could not let this person walk away from him.  Even if he has to humiliate himself to gain his attention.

Captain Griffin Hawke spent years traveling the galaxy to find his missing King.  Losing faith, he stops at the local bar where a whore like none other catches his interest.  After an unfortunate accident, Griffin engages with the whore's owner at a game of cards and an amazing discovery happened.

He found his King crouched between his legs, clothed in the uniform only fitting for a whore. Enraged by what his King was forced to become, Griffin knew that he had to get him away and placed in his rightful place on the throne.

Easier said than done when lustful feelings grow between the two.  On their journey they indulge in each other.  Powerful forces wants to find the King and destroy him before they can reach their destination.

Would their enemies succeed?  Would Griffin bring his King in one peace back to their new home?  Or would they want to be together enough to forget about their planet and take off to parts unknown.  Find out in this thrilling story of An Uncommon Whore!

+Belinda McBride wrote a compelling story that had me feeling enraged on the characters part.  It must have been hard for Pasha to act like a whore, when he was born to be a King.  I know his memories were gone, but somewhere inside him knew the truth and he did not completely summit to any of his masters.

The book is sexy and has a lot of sexy scenes in it as well so:

WARNING:

THIS BOOK CONTAINS SEX BETWEEN TO MEN!  DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THIS STUFF!

THANK YOU!

I liked that Pasha, even after learning who he really is, was not (totally) ashamed of what he had to do to survive.  That shows the inner strength he has.  When I learned of what he did for his people, I liked him even more.

Griffin has some control issues, but that's okay.  He is also loyal and loving and these two together made a very powerful combo.  The ending sucks, I was totally left with a beginning not an ending!  Is there a next book coming out? I would like to know!

HAPPY READING!

IT STARTED WITH A KISS by Marina Adair

Well well well! What do we have here with this story? Is it a love story, is it a trade or is it MURDER! I'm kidding, I'm kidding, there's no murder here. Avery Adams wants adventure. She wants to push herself outside the norm and experience life instead of just existing. This came about when she survived a kidney transplant that saved her life, but it's also a ticking time bomb that can explode at any time. With her resolve to experience life, Avery did the most logical thing and got a job as a guide in the local adventure lodge in her rustic Sierra Nevada Town. She was excited for her new job until reality slapped her in the face.  Instead of getting the training she needed in order to become a guide, she's stuck in the office, managing the business as best she can. What makes this situation worse is that the business is failing and the owner is so set in his ways that he refuses to change anything to fix it.  Frustrated with the way things were, hel...

MY CURVY VALENTINE by Sugar Jamison

This book is tied with Gentlemen Prefers Curves for the best book in this series.  Maggie is such a beautiful person, but she is also clueless. I could tell that she was has been married to the same guy for years before the both of them even knew it. Deciding to quit her high paying job as a bio-medical engineer and to follow her fashion dreams by working in a clothing store that caters to the full figured woman like herself. You might think that Maggie Calhoun must be out of her mind, especially since this all came about with her parents divorce. And you would be right, Maggie is out of her mind.  Out of her mind in bliss.  This is the first time in her life that she is doing something for herself, and she plans to enjoy it.  That is until her brother's best friend, Alex, moved his bakery beneath her apartment. Every morning she is awakened by sexual dreams that include whatever is being made in the bakery each morning.  Her dreams o...

WICKED BOND by Sawyer Bennett

Finally, we come to Bridger's story and I must admit, it was not what I was expecting.  Bridger Payne is a walking enigma that no one can quite figure out.  Even his best friend don't know the full story of where Bridger came from. In the Silo, Many want him but not can have him, well not the real him anyway. That's because Bridger lives with so much pain, a pain he has no reason to get rid of since the pain is what makes him survive. If you've read the books from the series you would know Bridger. He helped each and every one of my lovable guys to get their head out their arse and go after their women. You would think that a man that gives such good advice would also take his own preaching, but no such luck. Bridger more believes in happily ever after for everyone other than him. In his mind, he's too f*cked up to be helped and he's learned to accept that, but then Maggie was unexpectedly dumped in his care and Bridger found emotion he's neve...
