A KISS OF LIES by Bronwen Evans

This was one raw book.  It was awesomely good and raw.  You might hear me mention that this book is raw later on but when you read it, you'll see what I mean.

Sarah Cooper is on the run, someone is out to get her but she won't be caught.  She will have her freedom or die trying. An escape arises when  she sees a post for the position for a governess and what makes this even sweeter is that her employer is a recluse.

With a plan in her head, Sarah disguises herself to look the part of a governess but try as she might, see could not hide her beauty.  This did not go unnoticed by her new employer Christian Trent, the Earl of Markham.

Sarah knew the Earl when she was younger and to young to attend balls and had a huge infatuation with him.  He was the most beautiful man she have ever seen but his face is now disfigured by one of the most painful ways possible, by fire.

Christian Trent has to go back to England to clear his name of a crime he did not commit but first must find a governess to take care of his recently acquired ward, Lily.

Christian could not stop the powerful response to his new employee and wants her in his bed. But after suffering from his burns, no woman would willingly have him, so why would the beautiful and loving Sarah choose to be with him.

Sarah wants Christian but cannot risk getting him evolved in her battles.  The cost of harboring a criminal is dire.  Would Sarah tell Christian her secrets?  If she does, would he be disgusted with her and turn her away?  Find out in the first installment of "The disgrace Lords Series."

+Bronwen Evans wrote a very completing and raw book.  This book had so many twist and turns that I felt like I was navigating a maze with a very awesome prize at the end.  I love how you think you know what is going to happen next and then BAM, something totally unexpected happens; especially with the cliff hanger of an ending.

If you love historical romance, suspense, unexpected plot twist and deceit, I recommend that this is the book for you.

IT STARTED WITH A KISS by Marina Adair

Well well well! What do we have here with this story? Is it a love story, is it a trade or is it MURDER! I'm kidding, I'm kidding, there's no murder here. Avery Adams wants adventure. She wants to push herself outside the norm and experience life instead of just existing. This came about when she survived a kidney transplant that saved her life, but it's also a ticking time bomb that can explode at any time. With her resolve to experience life, Avery did the most logical thing and got a job as a guide in the local adventure lodge in her rustic Sierra Nevada Town. She was excited for her new job until reality slapped her in the face.  Instead of getting the training she needed in order to become a guide, she's stuck in the office, managing the business as best she can. What makes this situation worse is that the business is failing and the owner is so set in his ways that he refuses to change anything to fix it.  Frustrated with the way things were, hel

CRASH AND BURN by Rachel Lacey

This book was not the usual Rachel Lacey book and I should know, I've actually read all of them.  This is a story I've not read before and it puts to light what your brain thinks about when you think that you're about to die. Isa Delgado is terrified of flying and now she has to step foot into her first ever plane ride to help a rescue dog that only responds to her. The rescue is a husky dog named Maya who likes to run away when things get rough.  This does not help Isa with her fear of flying but the hunk who was her pilot might help matters a bit. Take off was not so bad and it relaxed Isa to see Maya calm during the flight.  Just when she thought that flying might not be so bad, everything goes horribly wrong. Nate lives to fly.  He's been flying for as long as he can remember. That's why he did not foresee any problems in flying a lady and her dog to their destination. Things don't go as planned when in the middle of their flight, shit hit the fa
