COME THE SPRING by Julie Garwood

Okay guys, if you read my last post it was also about Julie Garwood and I am sad to say that I was left wanting, and not in a good way.  This book was better, much better and I advice all of you to read it, buy read it and add it to your library; you will not regret it.

A dozen robberies have been made over a two year period and not a clue as to who did them or how.  They were dubbed the name "The Backwater Gang" due to the name of the first town they hit, but things took a turn for the worse when they got a taste for killing.

Now every bank they hit, they leave no one alive.  This was not good news for the two Marshalls that were assigned to the case, Cole Clayborne and Daniel Ryan.  One of them have a very personal reason for finding the gang and the other was forced into it.

When the gang robbed another bank, they thought that they killed everyone in sight, but there was someone hiding and the marshall's finally have the witness that they needed when they saw what the witness have left behind.  To bad the witnesses would not fess up to what they saw, especially since she is a woman with a secret to protect.

The marshalls went through all the people that entered the bank and saw that three woman entered the bank on the day of the robbery, and due to a stupid move by the town sheriff, these women have banded together and all three have given the same account of what happened at the bank.  Now the marshalls do not know who to believe and time is running out because The Backwater Gang, do no leave any witnesses behind, EVER.

Things become complicated when the marchelles are attracted to two of the woman and then this case turned from just catching the gang and letting them hang into trying to protect the women they love from suffering the same fate as the other witnesses.

This book is an excellent read for those of you who love big rugged men who uphold the law.  I fell in love with Cole when he ran into a burning building to save whoever was inside and how he had was to jump out the window before the whole house fell on top of them and then...

I don't want to give to much away no do I, but I will tell you that someone in the book is a traitor, and I so wanted them to burn or hang, or both.  This book would have to at the edge of your seat as you escape into the old west with shoot-outs, sheriffs and sleeping beneath the stars.

BED OF ROSES (Book two in the Brides Quarlet) By Nora Roberts

I love flowers but not as much as Miss Emmaline Grant, she lives for them.  Emma is part owner of Vows, which is in the wedding business and Emma's part is with the flowers.  The bouquet, the table center piece, once it involves flowers, Emma does it and does it with a fairy tale quality. Growing up with a love story like her parents, Emma's head constantly romanticizes everything.  She keep looking for Mr Right and she found him in Jack. Jack Cooke is a enjoy them now and leave them before they get to close kind of guy.  His mindset encourages him into not wanting or needing a relationship knowing that they never last and people get hurt. With Emma, there was no holding back and he was constantly hesitating when she says or does something that he thinks violates his space. He constantly hurts Emma unintentionally and Emma feels as if she has to frequently hold back her feelings so as not to scare Jack off. Shit hit the fan when she couldn't take ho...

GETTING BETTER

Sorry for not updating for a while.  I have been sick for the past week and the glare from my computer screen made my eyes and head hurt more than it did, so I banned myself from my computer until I was better. It has not completely left me yet, but I am getting better and the computer screen no longer hurt my eyes.  The only thing is that I am backed up with all of my reviews.  I read a lot when I was sick, seemed like the only thing I could do.  I did not even have the energy to go to school for the first week. I'm getting better now and look forward for my new reviews and I might post more than one this week.
