THE TRUTH IS THE LIGHT by Vanessa Davis Griggs

OH MY GOODNESS, this book was so frustrating.  At first it was alright, and then I got bombarded with so many back stories that I could not for the life of me remember who’s story went to whom and names was coming at me so fast I kept forgetting them, more than usual.

From what I understood a ninety-nine year old Ransom Perdue, when he was young, fell in love with a wife woman and she fell in love with him, and back in the day not only was it frown upon, you could get killed for that.  This love produced a baby girl and here is where it got really confusing, someone wanted the baby to die, either her father or her brother, and somehow the baby ended up being given to a servant and someone went crazy and then she found out she was not crazy and got her daughter back.

See, confusing, to me any way;  maybe this book is a series and you have to read those books to understand what the heck was going on in this book.  If you read this book and understand it. Please tell me what happened.

IT STARTED WITH A KISS by Marina Adair

Well well well! What do we have here with this story? Is it a love story, is it a trade or is it MURDER! I'm kidding, I'm kidding, there's no murder here. Avery Adams wants adventure. She wants to push herself outside the norm and experience life instead of just existing. This came about when she survived a kidney transplant that saved her life, but it's also a ticking time bomb that can explode at any time. With her resolve to experience life, Avery did the most logical thing and got a job as a guide in the local adventure lodge in her rustic Sierra Nevada Town. She was excited for her new job until reality slapped her in the face.  Instead of getting the training she needed in order to become a guide, she's stuck in the office, managing the business as best she can. What makes this situation worse is that the business is failing and the owner is so set in his ways that he refuses to change anything to fix it.  Frustrated with the way things were, hel...

BED OF ROSES (Book two in the Brides Quarlet) By Nora Roberts

I love flowers but not as much as Miss Emmaline Grant, she lives for them.  Emma is part owner of Vows, which is in the wedding business and Emma's part is with the flowers.  The bouquet, the table center piece, once it involves flowers, Emma does it and does it with a fairy tale quality. Growing up with a love story like her parents, Emma's head constantly romanticizes everything.  She keep looking for Mr Right and she found him in Jack. Jack Cooke is a enjoy them now and leave them before they get to close kind of guy.  His mindset encourages him into not wanting or needing a relationship knowing that they never last and people get hurt. With Emma, there was no holding back and he was constantly hesitating when she says or does something that he thinks violates his space. He constantly hurts Emma unintentionally and Emma feels as if she has to frequently hold back her feelings so as not to scare Jack off. Shit hit the fan when she couldn't take ho...
